gojo
Hi everyone, Brand new to the site. I've had my '99 LS400 for 2 years now. It has 59,000 miles and the headlight lenses are getting cloudy looking. The car spent it's first 2 years in southern Florida. I'm inclined to believe the intense sun may have caused the discoloration. however, what to do about it? Like most of you here on the site I would like to avoid the $Dealer$ if possible. Are replacement lenses available out there? Any information is helpful. Also, Many thanks to VBdenny! I followed his advise for replacing the hood struts. It worked like a dream....beautiful! silvermate
yeah take some mothers mag or metal polish to them...........i did it on mine and it works really well, unless they are just too far gone to buff.... you can do it by hand i used my dremel tool with a soft polishing pad to buff. be carefull not to leave it in one spot too long, or you will burn the plastic

gojo
Thank You SilverMate! I picked up some Mothers "Mag" and applied it by hand. I decided not to use the dremel, I didn't want to chance burning the plastic. It worked great, and the headlights look like new again. I wanted to post a photo of the nice shinny headlamps but the image size was too big (236K). Anyway, Thanks again. :D
