I want to get it repainted, any suggestions on a black gold metalic with a grey or silver metalic trim, I've looked at paint charts and it is mind bending, so perhaps someone has already found a successful combo. SRK Posted June 30, 2004 Share Posted June 30, 2004 Easier than looking at the charts is to find a car, preferably a newer one, with a colour you like and imagine it on the Lexus. I have done this many times doing custom paint jobs. Generally speaking, if you are choosing a metallic, find one with a small flake size, as the larger ones (like the ES330 silver) are less attractive on cars like ours. If touching up will be a concern in the future, stay away from pearl or other effects in the paint, otherwise you will be repainting nearly the entire car to fix a fender, unless you know of a truly talented body shop painter.
