Rmm Sport Ring And Pinion Set - Sc 400

I am trying to improve my 0-60 time and am looking into a new gear set (Ring and Pinion Set) for my sc-400. What i want to know is what gear ratio are best for what situations? What about installation? I was told that gears would do the trick, but then i should start looking into lower control arms and stuff? any comments on this??
