I just purchased a 2001 LS430 (Ultra Premium) in Canada. This model does not have navigation. I can't get the compass to display the direction in the center of the guage cluster. I believe that the button disp2 (steering wheel) is supposed to switch between the outside temp and compass, I get the temperature, then I keep the button pressed for (1-2) seconds as per the manual, the temp disappears, but no compass shows up. Is it broken? Has anyone had to get it fixed.

Thanks for the reply! No, I don 't see the part. I actually can fit an ink pen in the slot and it seems to fit perfect but, my brother thinks a tire pressure gauge goes in the slot/holder.

Just purchased a 2005 Ls 430 and noticed inside the glove box lid it has some type of holder that appears to hold an ink pen or maybe a tire pressure gauge. Does any one know exactly what goes in this holder??? What ever goes in this slot I would like to obtain it and all the other original items.
