  1. Hey guys, i'm in the process of buying a 92 SC400

i'm a black housing and projector freak :P and since the stockers arent the best looking old :P i thought upgrade to ebay CCFL dual projector instead of opening the headlight to paint black ...

Anybody has pics of both Low / High beam projectors and beam shots on wall to see its cutoff and brightness ?

    Linky : http://cgi.ebay.ca/CCFL-HALO-PROJECTOR-HEADLIGHT-1992-99-LEXUS-SC300-SC400-/170560704243?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3ALexus%7CModel%3ASC400%7CYear%3A1992&hash=item27b635cef3

    Thanks

  2. i've got a 1993 GS300...

Everything was okay.. now its starting to shake a little.. i suspect the Sway bar end links bushing.. the tie rods are kinda soft but not as much as the end links..

i'm going to look that over soon, also brakes needs to get done.. and need 2 new headlights assemblies since mine i cannot adjust the height,

tranny gasket is leaking a little, valve cover gasket leaks a little too..

    my futur plans are :

if i want to spend.. swap a 2JZ GTE from the Aristo with the 5 Speed Auto tranny and Japan ECU, 3" Downpipe with Electric Cut-off and Stock Cat-back, Flat Burgundy or Flat Black with 17" rims with huge lip :P and Ksport Coilover or Megan dropped to the ground

    right now i only have 8000K 55W Apexcone HID's, Nokya 70W 2500K Fog and Nokya 90W 2500K High Beam / DRL

  3. I've been an active member on HIDplanet for about a year, i've done 3 HID retrofits, used 4 different types of bulbs, i've read enough to know the lumen vs time values of an 85122 philips bulb...

Go find the graph, it' somewhere on there... It shows the curve of the philips 85122, 85122+, 85122WX and halogen bulb lumen values vs time.

i've done 3 HID Projector retrofits in cars, lots of HID's in normal reflector and i've always used SharpHID.com Apexcone HID's... i've got a Set in my Lexus.. which was in my old Bimmer and in my Volvo... my HID bulbs and Ballast at 55W kit and they've been used for over 5 years.. Same as the kit for my old Cobalt, oncle's Cobalt, uncle's Friend WRX same kit but 35W for 3 years.. and they are still very very well brighter than any halogen or ebay junk hids

  6. i've got it out.. but i can seem to find the problem.. the wires are all safe and all

but my problem is i got the nakamichi unit and the sound cuts out every second and even if its on FM / CD player still does it..

    anyone had that problem..?

Sure, people have had that problem. Probably a number of internal radio head unit and amplifier issues can cause it. If only one or two speakers are cutting out, it could be defective speakers.

You up in Quebec? Any radio repair shops up there?

Lexus Nakamichi radios are getting difficult to get repaired in the U.S. due to the lack of replacement parts - maybe due to the Nakamichi company's bankruptcy. This is the Florida company that repaired the Nakamichi in my 2000 LS400 last year: http://www.carstereohelp.com/lexus.htm

Here is another company that may repair some Nakamichi components: http://www.autoecu.com/

it does it in all the speakers..

and at that point i'll just put in an aftermarket radio with a dash kit.. :S

  7. I've been trying for the past 3 days to adjust the headlight on my car.. but i guess the little screw on the top are broken because the turn to nothing and the headlight doesnt move.. so i need to remove the headlight itself and try to do it from the inside..

but i've taken of 3 bolt holding the headlight..

my question is.. is there a clip or a 4th bolt holding it in place.. because i cannot remove the damn headlight.. i cannot figure out which it is..!

    Thanks
