  1. 105 on my 95 sc400. it had alot left in her. i was messing with my cousin on my road and passed him in his 93 supra twin turbo. i couldve kept going but with a road only like a mile long and a short braking distance pass my driveway i decided to stop. i still slowed down pretty quick. keep in mind this all happend in less than half a mile going up a hill and then coming down to go through a curve in the middle of the day

  2. I really need help on how to get this tail light out or atleast

change the bulb out for now

i had to take mine out yesterday. pull down the cloth on the inside of the trunk. the piece on the side and on the back (where the latch is). there should be four bolts there with a 10mm nut on them. after you remove those 4 nuts just pull the taillight out. to remover the bulbs rotate the holders and pull them out.

  3. For reliabilty go with Cadillac.

Foreign cars with that kind of mileage are gonna give you a lot of trouble scroll up and you're gonna find a thread with an Sc 300 that lost a tranny and an engine at 144k miles.

They say that they go till 300k but that's not true I work at Vw and for Vw they say the same thing.

That Vw is known for their reliability but they don't go past 150k without having mayor work done to them.

The only cars in the world that can go over 200k without a lot of work are the ones that I mentioned above and some other American cars

most imports last longer and are far better in quality. i have always had nissans and toyotas/lexus. right now i have a 95 SC400 with the auto tranny all origanal regular mantience only. 210K miles the motor had to be replaced at 110K bc the people at jiffy lube left the plug out durring a oil change but thats the only major thing thats been done

  4. im 15 and i have a 1995 Lexus SC400 and my cousin is 18 with a 93 Supra TT, and i have alot of friends into cars. alot of young people are into toyotas, lexus's and imports peroid so you are a idiot. Esscee400, your SC is nice. i wish my SC had the 97+ body on it. the JIC Magic body kit is pretty nice to. heres a good website to look into parts for the SC. they have the JIC magic kit. www.luxurymods.com

  5. i have a SC400 and my cousin has a 93 Supra twin turbo. the 2JZ-GE is the same engine ran in the non turbo MKIV Supra. the 2JZ can pull 1000HP on stock internals. it has ALOT of potential. and if that hatch is only puttin out 200HP then the SC300 would probably hang with it if not smoke it the SC300 had 220HP the first year it came out

  6. ok to clear up the HP issue not 100% sure on the 92-94. im pretty sure the 92 model only had 225HP. the 95 has 250HP the 96 has 260HP and the 97-00 model has 290HP.

as far as the gas milage. you might be able to get 24-28 on the highway runnin 60-70MPH. if you cant run those speeds most of the time then you will get between 18-21. the 18-21 is the cars factory fuel rating and has been confirmed with around town driving of a 95 SC400 35-55MPH. hope this helps
