  1. Book says that when this happens the compressor is not working. Is this a hard fix??? Can it be re-built? What are the clutches that would be replaced at the same time? Its for a 94 LS with only 28,200 miles on it.

I just had a mobile detail person clean the engine compartment the day b 4 the light started blinking--could something have gotten wet that would cause this????

I am not a mechanic but I have done some repairs so I am hoping maybe someone can kind of guide me thru this.

    Thanx,

    Steve

  2. It is possible to find what u r loooking for.  After researching I kept coming back to lexus also.  Found a 94 LS400 with 24,000 original owner/miles on it.  Drove 100 miles and bought it on the spot.  Paid top dollar for it and didn't blink an eye.   Hope u continue to feel better and don't despair your car is out there!!

Sorry for not responding sooner - life gets a bit crazy at times. I haven't checked my email in a while.

    WOW ! ! ! - - 24,000 original owner/miles - That is fantastic!

LS400s do seem to be a bit more avaialable in Florida than here. I am hoping I don't have to end up going to Florida to get one that is "right."

    I appreciate your encouragement! ~ ~ LS400~es ;)

  4. Hi,

Just bought a 94 LS 400 with 26,000 one owner miles. Anything (age related) that I should look for? ie. tranny fluid, cooling system, timing belt etc? Book say to change trany fluid every 15K---is that right?

    Thanx,

    Steve :)
