  1. Ripped all of the Nakamichi junk out! Put new door speakers and tweeters in. Replaced rear deck speakers and the sub. Sub got replaced with a Kicker competition 8. Put a strictly digital input Alpine head unit in with an Autotek amp bridged pushing the 8. Rest of speakers running off of deck power. Now it sounds like it should. Clear and loud.

Is your NAK amp any good? Looking to seel it if so? I need of one terribly.

  2. Sorry, for you loss. Are you going to completely loose the car? I have a 1995 SC400 in Louisville, KY, I financed $7500 just less than 2 yrs ago and it had 125k mileage. If you decide to part it out, does it still have the stock NAK amp. Currently, I am having trouble locating one. Good luck with the insurance company. Rick

  3. I have a '95 SC 400 I bought in Oakland, Ca., a year ago. The car is in excellent condition and had only 48,800 miles on it at time of purchase. I have installed a K & N filter system, removed the resonators (great sound now), installed a performance chip and this machine rocks. Dreamed of owning one since they came out but finally got my hands on one.

She gets a complete paint job next week.

What I am looking for are some recommendations on replacing the black seat covers --- buckets and rear. They aren't torn but just showing wear. One search I made turned up Trimcar showing an impressive set of options for replacing the covers ---- full leather, 50% leather/50% vinyl and a plush vinyl. I was surprised that the pricing was more reasonable than I thought.

Anyone out there that has gone through this one.

Sorry for so many words ---- I get wired when I talk about the SC.

I'm looking for some performance enhancements like the chip you purchased. Could you share some of your upgrades with brands and model numbers. Did removing the resonators improved your performance any? Good luck with your paint job... Rick
