Hi,
Any suggestions on how much brake & rotor replacements should cost? Lexus of Marin wants $1,400 which seems totally insane. I only have 20k miles on it, and they already replaced the front pads for free after 10k. I live in the hills of SF so I burn through brakes.
I'm thinking of replacing them myself...never done it, but looks simple & I'm mechanically inclined. Am I missing anything?
Thanks!
I just ordered new ones from Napa and costs me around $400.00 We will be doing them our selves as well. I am in Ohio and they wanted around 950 to do it here

Just received my 3 recall notices in the mail today for my 2007 IS250 RWD. One is to replace the fuel delivery pipe(fuel rail), the 2nd is to relube/add grease to the slide pin seal area on the rear brakes and the 3rd is to replace the electric power steering link assembly. These repairs are being made under a "special service campaign". Just wanted to let the forum members know what might be coming down their way. Thanks for all the helpful information posted by the members.
I got the same ones. Called the dealer and was in and out in 1 day.
