  1. I just got back from a long road trip in my 2006 GS. I noticed that the car shakes when I take my foot off the gas paddle during higher cruising speed. It feels almost as if the car if downshifting and the engine causes the vibration. anyone here had this experience? I am almost sure that its not the tires since the ride is smooth while increasing speed or maintaining speed. It only happens when you take the foot off the gas like suddenly. <_< :(

Does it happen when you speed up fast? You may want to have someone check the motor mounts. Good Luck

yes, it happens when I do a steady speed up then I do a sudden release of gas paddle. My warranty expired last week, am I out of luck if something is wrong with the motor mounts? or is it cover under the power train warranty? Thanks so much!

  3. OEM navi would be the most expensive choice and not necessary the best one either. After market in dash nav can have the same features as the oem for less money. Finally, portable units are the cheapest and just as many features but it lacks the big screen and you have to wait for it to link to the satellite everytime you turn it on.

Which after market in-dash nav is best for the GS? How do they integrate with the screen? or I basically have to replace the whole thing?

  4. I recently purchased a 06 GS300 without the Navi system. Now after about a month of driving the car, I really regret the decision not getting one with the Navi option. anyone here can give some inputs on which option to go with, getting an OEM navi unit or simply go to Costco and get a Garmin GPS?? After reading some of the posts here about hacking the navi & DVD system... I truely think getting one with the Navi option is the best choice, but I guess its too late for me. anyone install an after market in-dash Navi in a GS before?? Thanks in advance

  5. Hello everyone! I'm new here, can anyone help me with info on how can get an nav and backup camera added on gs300 awd

I take it both of you guys are looking for navs with rearview cameras for 2007 GS's Or rearview cameras without nav ? I'll look into this.

I would like to get the Navi with or without the back up camera, you can email me edward830@gmail.com thank you so much!!!

  6. First post. Thanks in advance for any advice.

I'm planning on buying a used 2006 GS300 with 50k miles or less. I've heard the AWDs had some problems so I think I'll be avoiding that. Anything else to look for or be wary of?

    Thanks!

take your time and find one with Navi, i recently got a 06 GS300 without Navi and really regret it cause trying to put in an in dash one is almost impossible.. :-( with the bad economy, you can really find a good deal if you are patient. DO NOT RUSH!!!
