  1. Do you get any codes? Sometimes you get a code even if the check engine light is not on. Without a code is hard to identify, it's got to be a sensor somewhere doing this. I don't think that the radiator or intake manifold got anything to do with hard starting when hot. Maybe(only maybe) the crank sensor.

Hi guys,i got a 1994 es300 with 322.000km on it.It was running fine until 2 days ago when it started to idle high around 1300rpm,idle is stable though and i dont feel anything wrong with the car,driving and shifting sounds ok.By the way,the car has been running with check engine light on for about 6 months,code p0401 egr insufficient flow,i was told after someone vacum tested it that egr modulator is dead.Does a egr modulator affect idle?Can you give an idea where and what to check?Thank's to everyone.

    Well i found out my problem.it was idle control valve.I cleaned the TB and 2 days later here we go with high rpm on idle.A lot of carbon went during cleaning straight to ICV thru the hole and blocked it.Cleaned that up and everything is fine.
