i'm about to take it back to the dealer to get my alignment done AGIAN.. cause when i hit that rock.. my alignment went bad.. after 3 months of alignment (at the lexus dealer) , it went bad agian.. *sigh* ...... i like the car a lot but it seems to have a lot of problem... well for me..... when i take it back to the dealer i'll ask them about the noise

I was driving on the high way at about 60 mph and out of no where i see this mid size rock on the road, tried to dodge it but the back rim caught it. i didn't think it was anything bad.. but i heard a loud !BANG! . sounded like a gun shot.. pulled over and found out that the back rim has cracked a big whole.. the tire is still in GOOD CONDITINO AND STILL USABLE. :o but the rim.. oh man.. i took it back to the dealer and complain to them but warranty wouldn't cover it... anyone aware of this problem when hitting rock or pot hole? i have a 2004 IS300 5 speed manual.. i have another problem with my car.. its only 21k mile and i can hear the transmission input bearing noise already.. it only goes on when the car is start up in the morning... is this normal ? .. the noise goes away when i step on the cluht.. but when the car warms up.. the noise goes away... also MY STICK SHIFTING IS HARD !!! shifting into 1 to 2.. 2 to 3.. is HARD!! ... PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG ..

i also have a 2004 is300 ....i recently changed my oil and i have no idea how to turn off that maint light either... i read the manual booklet but didn't see anything about it....

i even took off the batt but the ligjt went back on after i drove for a min...anyone out there who has 2004 is300 kno how to turn it off beside taking it back to the dealership?

yea i agree.. i recently changed my oil filter and i had to reach in from the top...

the bad thing about changing your oil filter on the is300 is that oil leaks everywhere to the bottom.... is there anyway you can prevent oil from leaking down all over the engine parts n stuff ??

hey the light went back on when i drove for not even 2 min...... it didn't work.....hmmmm.... do you know anyother way??

the header will pass. depends on what kind it is.. but the race pipe won't pass.. you would have to put your stock pipe back on whenever you go get emissions check...unless you know anyone who do under the table emissions check.. thoes guy will pass you no matter what...

I read the manual in the emissions control section but didn't see anything about it....i called lexus and they wouldn't tell me how to turn it off.. they said i have to take my car to the dealership so they can do a check up and will turn it off for me... .. i just reseted the ECU... the light went off... cool.. thanks a lot bartkat...
