  1. I have an '08 IS250 with the factory Sirius radio option. I'm having issues with signal loss and want to find out how the unit is installed in others cars. My antenna is placed inside the windshield just beside the rearview mirror. I have had both the antenna and the radio unit replaced due to this issue and now I'm convinced it's due to the placement of the antenna. The dealer said it was possible to incorporate the antenna into the shark fin in the roof and I'm not sure why it wasn't done that way in the first place. My neighbor's is installed this way and he said he has no issues. Does anyone else have their's on the windshield? If so do you have signal problems? I understand the tunnel/buildings/trees issues associated with satellite radio, but when I had a plug and play unit in my old car I almost never had a dropped signal. I'm just trying to understand others experiences.

You need to get the adaptor http://www.tss-radio.com/lexus-and-shark-f...ter-p-5646.html

  2. So I went to open my trunk this morning with my key in my pocket and nothing happened...it didn't budge. I took the key fob out of my pocket and pushed the trunk release button...still nothing....opened the drivers door and hit the trunk release button...still nothing. Doesn't matter if the car is on or off...key fob and all other releases are working fine otherwise. Anyone had this happen or know what the deal is? I have some stuff in my trunk I need to get out!!

    Thanks!

Hi it might also be that you left your other set of keys in the trunk. Then it won't open but you can push the button inside next to the gas latch button.

  3. Because Lexus dealers like to make a lot of money? The dealer price for HID bulbs does seem silly high -- they are silly in the U.S. too. Dealers are likely paying Toyota/Lexus a premium wholesale price so the bulbs may not be marked up all that much.

Hey, a green card, comedian New Brunswickan friend of mine down here in Kansas once called the "new" bridge from the mainland to P.E.I. ... "the Bridge to Nowhere". Cruel, eh? We used to visit P.E.I. in pre-bridge days -- I thought moss was going to start growing on us before we left.

Some Islanders harvest that moss Jim. And we sell it to mainlanders. We have lots more shopping since the Bridge opened in "97". You should come back for a visit and try that Lexus on the Confederation Bridge. The resturants are great here!
