the wifes car was doing the same, now having major problems.can you ask her to check the transmission level out of a matter of interest.

stil no joy.any of you guys know what p500 relates to?.

just finished dropping the gearbox pan and checked the magnets which were fine and now waiting on a new filter hope this fixes problem.

forgot to mention the car moves forward also when neutral is selected and if i switch the engine off and select neutral i can push the car back and forward.

probem started when the gearbox started slipping and after checking under the car found there was a leak from the transmission oil cooler located in the wheel arch.repaired the leak and pressure tested the cooler replaced the fluid,now the car will only travel forwards even when reverse is selected.drove the car in low then second and finally in drive but still no joy .car will go to about 40mph but will not go thru the gears.have switched the speed sensors over but still no joy.any thoughts.
