thanks for the reply. is the exhaust manifold cast iron? wouldn't it be harder to weld something like that?

my rx300 exhaust manifold has a slight crack in it and is leaking possibly. lexus tells me i'm out of warranty. where would be the cheapest place i can find a replacement manifold?

when i turn the steering wheel, there is a creaking noise...iono if this explains it enough...any way to fix this? it kinda sounds like a un oiled door slowly creaking open

has there been a recall on the 1999 rx300 engine starting problems (i think it's 1999...it's my dad's car). when i start the car, if i put it into reverse rite after, the engine shuts down. I have to let it sit for a little and sometimes rev it. this has never happened before on this car nor any other car in the household. any idea how to fix it? could it be the ignition wires?
