I appreciate everyone's replies but I decided to purchase a 2006 G35x instead for better peace of mind. Now I'm wishing that it would snow...I guess when I'm in the market for a second car I will get a GS430 without hesitation.
wow, that only took like 2 months to get the lexus shot down lol
Boo! :P
Cmon! Snow mode and drive slowly.

Went to the dealership.
Bad bulbs. FYI don't go to Shuck's their bulbs don't work!
Dealer swapped them out, and it works fine. Light gone.
Thanks!

Checked the tail light harness, it's not that.
I noticed when I have my driver's side door open and when I press the brakes, I hear a single click, perhaps that is the result of the problem.
I'm out of ideas.
Does anybody know?
Thanks for your help.

Tan leather, brown wood. Tan leather shift knob.

I would like to know that as well.
I have a 1999 GS300.
I went to the Tag/Title place and the guy was in awe because my car showed up as a 1999 GS300 S.
What is the difference?

I read the manual and it was very helpful about the Fuse Boxes and locations. Thank you!
I checked all the fuses and they were all good.
I talked to a friend who has an Audi that had the same problem and he said that the tail light harness plugs into the main cable that goes to the battery.
Not sure if Lexus has that but I will check.
Thanks

Awesome! I'll read over it tonight! Thank you! :)
Warning buzzer? What is that about?

I have a problem. I have a 1999 GS300.
A week ago the dash light came on that I had a bulb out in the rear. So I found out by reading the owners manual that it could be 2 things. 1) Bulb or 2) Circuit.
So I pin pointed the problem to be when the brakes are pressed the driver's side brake lights do not come on, but the right and middle brake lights do come on. Weird.
Bought some tail light bulbs and replaced the 2 side ones (turn signal and reverse lights) knowing that the 2 (top and bottom) are the daily run lights and were working fine.
Checked the brake lights again and still the same problem. No driver's side brake lights.
So the circuit involves a grounding and a relay fuse to complete the circuit. I'm hoping it is the fuse that needs to be changed or perhaps it jiggled out. I think the fuse box could either be under the hood on the driver's side or underneath the driver's side dash on the left hand side.
Does anybody know specifically where this fuse for the driver's side brake light is located or any details?
Thanks for your help!

Yeah, I went to the dealer and it got to be expensive. I stopped the guy at $3200 and that didn't even include the wiring. The auto leveling motor was $933 per side. Ouch!
I'm going to look into some aftermarket HID kits. I could use some recommendations if anybody has any?
Thanks!
-
Thanks alot dj, thats the answer I was looking for. I've been looking into retrofitting.. but it is a bit pricey and I'd rather keep everything as OEM looking as possible. I'm just considering getting aftermarket HID's but I don't like the idea of having to change the bulbs every so often ): we'll see though. thanks again!

TumTum,
What did you end up doing?
I'm considering the same thing. Going to the dealer next week. I wonder how much the total is going to be?

I have a set of OEM chrome wheels on my 02 GS 300 that I would like to switch for alloys. The wheels are in excellent condition. Could you suggest where I might be able to make such a trade. Obviously, I'm offering to trade a set of very nice wheels for a set that is less valuable, so I would think it would be relatively easy to find such a trade. Thanks very much.

Lets see some pictures! :)

Can somebody please run and attach the carfax on this 05 LS430? I'm looking to switch bodystyles and am not quite sure about the condition of this car.
Thanks! Much appreciated!

If you are going to get the GS300/GS350 AWD you better get it certified!
I heard really bad things about how it needs to be serviced quite often because it comes out of alignment. I'm not considering an 06+ AWD GS.
-
Thank you. Can you attach it in a PDF?
Much appreciated!

Could somebody please run the carfax on this 06 GS430, VIN: JTHBN96S065008231
I'm looking to upgrade but not quite sure. Thank you.

Posted in the wrong forum. Sorry.

Seems like high mileage to me. More miles...more problems if all the parts didn't get changed out. I'd pass first, but if I were seriously interested I'd offer $4,500.
You can get a decent 98-01 with 50K-80K miles for $9K-$10K.

Perhaps you should submit this to the mods to get it as a sticky!!! :P

Are those LED taillights?
Are there some night shots?
Those look sweet!

if u have the factory nav this link will help
http://www.clublexus.com/forums/showthread.php?t=388353
but judging by the title of this post, i don't think u do have the nav. i dunno if it was available with nav and nakamichi
brian
It looks to me that the Navtool products for the 98-00 Lexus only do the video. Audio has to be done through an FM modulator or FM transmitter. The Navtool wouldn't help connect an iPod.
I wonder if this would work without Nav???

Hey! I was wondering if anybody found a way to add HD radio to the OEM factory head unit without having to get an aftermarket head unit?
Thanks!
is this without without the nav? and nakamichi or ML stereo system?
brian
Thanks for a response!
Without Nav and I'm assuming ML Stereo system. Type A in the attachment.
Whatever this head unit is below:
Can it be done?
Thanks!

I didn't find that thread. Can you post a link?
I read you can hook up an iPod adapter to the CD Changer and operate your iPod through there. I wonder if it works without Nav?
What did you do to hook up your iPod to your GS400?
Thanks!
