  1. I own an RX350 FWD, 2007. Just bought a set of four new tires. All four old tires were gone because each of the inside treads were worn to the tire core. Each tire still had tread left in the middle and on the outside. Why do all four tires wear on the inside so quickly? Is it a problem with the springs or the design of the suspension system? (I drive mostly all highway miles.)

I suspect this is why most owners get less than 30,000 miles on the first set of tires.

Stick with Michelin.... as Lexus wants. Drive fast on what they want is a hard tire is a good idea. Gooey Goodyears will wear out. Drive sane and go with high pressure Michelin and the traction.... Michelin can take it. Listen to what the manufacturer says. *BLEEP* Goodyear. They are too soft and wear out saking reality. This is why you need a real tire that can take 44 psi.

  2. I am a satisfied Lexus ES330 owner. I am now in the market for a second Lexus. It would be used for winter driving in the Northeast and summer vacationing near the beach. I have looked at the GX450 and know that it would serve my purposes but I like the styling and performance of the RX350. I would be taking the car on the sand (probably 6 times a year). Can the RX350 withstand that type of driving?

Absolutely... see what the 2009 Consumer Reports issue has to say on the subject on the RX350. The 2009 New Car issue states that sand and snow traction are one of the strongest features of the RX350. Deflation of the tires may help but you can always deflate after you are there if there is a traction problem. Taking a tire gauge (and maybe a portable compressor) would be a good idea to make sure you have equal pressure for fun for sand surfing and then heading back to your original destination. If not... I figure you have Road Service, lol.... go for it. I know you won't be disappointed.

  4. My 08 rx350 recently returned from the local dealership with all tires at 36 psi. cold. I checked the door panel and and they are supposed to be at 30 psi when cold. Bad dealership or am I missing something?

    Thanks

Tires are good for 44 psi... and saves fuel... try that. Why not make your 350RX get excellent mileage?
