  1. hey 2lexii, you live in nj, so do i,do you not remember the winter we had? all of the potholes we had?, well, all of these holes leave stones loose in the road ways. the position of the glass on the lx is pretty verticle...not to mention huge. it's a very large target for stones. i happen to see alot of stone chips every day due to my position of employment. it's not just you and its not just your lx's,its our terrible road departments in nj.

  2. wow, that's funny!,,, the only think lexus is working on it a new insulation

so you can't hear the tick noise. the perception is that there is a "problem",

not true. the injectors do operate properly. the issue is insulation.

the reason i chuccle is that i am the dealer and where i work

is one of the test sites where tsb's are made..hang in there cheif,

your in the 10% club, only 10% of all who own the ca complain of the noise

to begin with. i would'nt hold my breath waiting for this one!

  3. hi,

generally... it depends where you go,

to sum it up, all of the filters-air,a/c cabin, pcv, and fuel

all of the fluids-oil, trans, brake, coolant, top off power steering and washer

    repl/ thermostat, wipers,ignition wires(optional),set alignment,rotate tires,

balance tires --- and all of the basic checks... depending on the current history of the car. possable a timming belt and water pump (if leaking )

  4. heyguys, there are many types of anti fungi deodorizers out there to kill the tame, but anoying smells. 1 thing... some of them are so strong that repeated use can and will remove the protective coating on the evap.core and cause it to rust.

if you have a repeating foul odor and tryed the filters and deodorizers then there

is a chance that the evaporator in the vehicle needs to be replaced due to performance. i've done it and had sucess.the best bandaid i ever used was a 50/50 mix of bleach and water, i use an atomizer and run it in the a/c matrix for about 20 min.CAUTION.. heavy use will stain the carpet-and do not get in the car until it has aired out for a few hours.i dont use more than a 1/4 cup of each and never stained a carpet. i do know people who did.

    good luck my smelly friends

  5. sorry guys but i have to step in, there is a plague with the front turn signal sockets in this car. if you notice, the bulbs you are replacing are still good....the real issue is the socket wich is available for about $15, 85% of the bulbs are still good. please try the socket first, esp. if you tap on the light and it stops blinking fast

  6. the owners manual is incorrect, you must go to the dealer and they have to set the conditions with a hand held computer. the "c"best system in the vehicle is set to respond to the dealers computer only. most dealers will not charge for such a service. it takes about 10 min. max.

  7. what's up? ok, back to the basics. there are 2 sets of sensors in the exhaust system, in the front you have the actual o2 sensors and after the cat you have the monitors if you will, when the so called tech checks his scanner he can read and compair the two sensors. if the sensors are switching at the same rate the cat is shot, if the o2 sensors switch fast and the monitors switch slow the cat is fine and the result would be a bad sensor.by the way..i would only have the dealer install the parts .... atleast they stand behind their work

  8. well, the honest opinion is that the car is not going anyware in the snow and

is to be left in the garage if snow is in the forecast.snow tires help about

10-15 percent at best. lets face it the car was ment for the warm weather and performes awesome in every aspect...opinion=depending on your average snowfall per year, this is the best all around sport sedan on the market

  9. TOM, DUE TO THE LACK OF DETAILED INFO ON THIS ISSUE THERE ARE SEVERAL SCHOOLS OF THOUGHT ON THIS SYMPTOM. FIRST, ARE ALL OF THE ENGINE AND TRANS. MOUNTS IN ONE PIECE? CHECK THE FRONT AND THE UPPER CLOSLEY.

NEXT, IT SOUNDS LIKE THE IDLE MAY BE TOO HIGH CAUSING A SLIGHTLY ROUGH DOWNSHIFT. MOST COMMONLY YOU SHOULD CLEAN THE THROTTLE BODY AND RE TEST THE CAR . ALSO THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR SOUNDS LIKE IT MAY NEED TO BE ADJUSTED OR REPLACED. AFTER THESE ARE DONE, REMOVE THE NEG. CABLE FROM THE BATTERY (RESETTING THE ECU) AND GIVE IT A TRY. I THINK YOU'LL BE HAPPY

  10. HERE'S THE REAR SCOOP, NOT THE JUNK YOU HAVE ALL REAR ABOUT.....

TAKE IT FROM ME, NOT ONLY AN OWNER BUT AN EMPLOYEE...

THERE IS A FIX, HAVE CONFIDENCE, THE NOISE ONLY OCCURS OR SHOULD

I SAY STARTS TO OCCUR WHEN THE TEMPS DROP, SO FACTORY TESTING

IS NOT THE REAL ANSWER, HOWEVER 100'S OF CARS HAVE BEEN FIXED

    RELAX, THERE ARE WORSE THINGS!!!

  11. THERE IS A COACH ADDITION, IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE SMALL TAGS ON THE

FRONT FENDERS,THEN TAKE A LOOK AT THE LEATHER SEATS, IF IT IS

STANDARD SMOOTH LEATHER,IT'S NOT COACH..BUT IF IT HAS TINY HOLES

THROUGHOUT THE SEATS, THEN IT'S COACH LEATHER....ONE OTHER

INDICATOR IS THE STYLE OF THE WHEELS,COACH WHEELS WERE

A FLAT ALUMINUM ALMOST POLISHED DESIGN
