  1. Wow that stuff looks like it works pretty awesome, I'll definitely have to do it sometime this week (probably my day off on Wednesday) as both the powerball and PlastX are at Wal-Mart for under $30. I'll let you guys know the results too!

Thanks again, it is much appreciated as opposed to paying into the triple digits for a new set.

  2. Thanks guys, I really appreciate the feedback. I'd really try to stay away from rubbing compound, when I asked I was more leaning towards "is there anything softer and less gritty" that might take more elbow grease, but in the end have better results.

I think I might try out a junkyard to see if there's any fairly decent (at least better than mine) looking headlights before investing in a new set.

  3. I also recommend Lexol. I've used it for years on my horse stuff (saddles, bridles, etc.) and it has always done its job well. However you will want to get the non-darkening otherwise it will make your leather darker with multiple layers of it, it has a nice natural rich aroma to it and settles in nicely. They have a cleaner and a conditioner.

  4. Hey guys, here's some photos of my car. The only thing I really feel needs to be touched up on is my headlights, does anyone know of a good site for new assemblies or a product that cleans/clears them up?

Also there's a few minor scratches on it, is there any way to get them out without resorting to polishing compound? Thanks :D

  5. What do you guys enjoy besides your cars? I personally am big into horses, I've been riding since I was 5 (I'm now 19) and have had the same horse since I was 6. I've been competitive in almost all styles of riding except for saddleseat and driving. Rodeo, eventing, dressage, stadium jumping, hunters, you know name it I've pretty much done it. My other big interest is herpetology, I have a growing collection of various reptiles and amphibians. I have all sorts of tortoises, lizards, geckos, frogs, snakes (my favorite, especially boas), and a little turtle. Majoring in Zoology and specializing in Herpetology is a probable option for me at this point, working in a zoo like Busch Gardens and taking care of all the snakes and alligators and whatever else would be just like a dream come true. Besides my little creepy crawlies I also have my dog, a pit bull, who is my other big love. I will not have any other kind of dog after him, and many other representations of the breed that I have met.

Other smaller hobbies are photography, modeling, and now a growing interest in my car. I have always been interested in cars but I don't know a lot about them like my other interests, but I read all I can and that's one of the reasons I joined these forums. Apart from that, it's just cool to interact with other people pursuing perfection :D

    So, how about yourself?

  6. Honestly, it just depends who gives you as an individual the right price. I have a horrible time finding a reasonable insurance carrier. I'm 19, on my second car with an absolute clean record, and my current car is a pretty safe 2000 ES300. Absolute cheapest with bare state minimum and highest deductibles is $153 a month with Unitrin Direct. I previously had Geico who I had with my previous car (a paid for 1999 Mazda 626) and when I changed cars went from 80 to $330, trickled down to $271 at cheapest. Obviously this is ridiculous so, screw Geico and their lame advertising gimmicks.
