I was looking at the Lextreme site and the TC page says you don't have to send one in until AFTER you get theirs and install it. Then they give you a refund.

Also, has anyone looked into a locker/LS from Toyota Motorsports? Might be cheaper than buying a whole diff.

Come and go gremlins like that are almost always connection/corrosion problems. The deal with our cars is they have a LOT of wiring in them. Only thing to do is to pull it apart and start checking and cleaning connections.

There is a small chance it is a bad wire, but don't bother to check for that until all the connectors have been gone over.

Clean the air filter and check/clean the MAF sensor. Either of these can cause a lean condition which results in pinging. :)

The radio itself is the same. The Nakamichi sound option refers to a better amp and speakers.

Probably not the switch.

More likely one of the temp sensors giving a false reading.

Do I check the current where the wires get to the switch in door or at the control module??

Best to check at the control module, that way you can tell if the current is going where it should.

Only thing I can suggest is to take the motor off, manually push the window all the way up, and then put the motor back on. This would at least be a place to start to see if the problem is with the motor. If you can't push the window all the way up, then the problem is with the window itself. Check to see if the back edge is properly mounted - if it's 1/2" off, there's your problem.

Check wiring connections.

If you have a volt meter or test light, check to see you're getting current where you should.

There is a control module under the dash. This is probably the most expensive component in the system, so have it checked to make sure it is really dead before you go replacing it.

Yes, tell us what happens. Do all the dash lights go off like you switched off the key? Or does the motor just stop, and then you get the idiot lights?

Could be either:

1) A/C compressor frozen and so it just stops the engine dead

2) electrical issue w/ A/C and ignition or engine ECU

Seat is probably just the drive cable that connects the sides, so you don't have to replace the whole seat.

On my '97 it looks like #22 in the engine compartment. Don't know about '92, but it's somewhere to start.

Yes, the memory position has a fuse. I think it is shared with something else.

If you replace the battery in the remote, it has to be reprogrammed. Do a search on this site - the instructions are here somewhere...

Before you look into spending money on the engine, consider a ring-and-pinion gear swap for the differential. WAY cheaper and really improves off-the-line performance.

Stick with 5W-30.

Buy tranny fluid at Napa.

Shop around! The light switch went out on my truck and the dealer had the best price with good quality.

No issues here. One of the first things I did was put in an 'original' cd and one I burned from vinyl. Both worked fine. I am a Nero user also.
