  1. Forgive me if there is a past thread on this... I searched and didn't find one specific to my problem. Here's my issue, any help would be appreciated.

I notice that when I close my sunroof (from both positions) the left back corner of the sunroof is loose and you can push this corner up and down and it moves. All the other corners are real tight and done give. I beleive this is causing the water leak to my front passenger side floorboard. We've blown out all the drain lines and they are fine. I also think this is also causing the leak from my sunglass holder.

My husband sprayed my sunroof with a soap/water mixture and I blasted the heat. You could see this corner bubbling with soap suds, so I know it's leaking. I just don't know how to fix it.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can tighten this up? Thank you in advance. I love this forum.

  2. did you check the brake clips?

I'm having this issue too. My car is a daily driver, I replaced all four pads about two months ago. Every once in a while it will grind to a stop. And they squeak like hell every time I apply the brakes.

I've taken it back to Lexus, only to have them take the brakes apart and tell me there's nothing wrong.

  3. I just wanted to say that this 35 year old female successfully just replaced the LCD in my 97 Lexus ES300, thanks to this board!!!! I ordered the part, came in 2 days, and went out armed with about 10 different screwdrivers, and other various tools (raided my husbands workshop) Good tip about using the nail clipper handle to do the prying off, worked like a charm. In any case, I finally got it all apart, took the old lcd off, plugged in the new, put it all back together, and am feeling very happy with myself for actually doing it right ;o) My teenage son's friend came over and was marveling that his friends mother could work on a radio in her Lexus.. lol.. He was thoroughly impressed. Yes, the admiration was just coming from a teenager, but hey, I needed the recognition from someone!! Thanks so much for this great forum, and all the good advice.

You just inspired me to finally order the lcd and replace it. I can't wait to be able to read the display again! I purchased this at partstore.com for $110.11, free shipping and handling. :)

  4. I know this thread is about 2 months old, but I just came across it. Did you ever fix this problem? I just replaced 3 bulbs in the tail lights, all of them work correctly but my dummy light is still on. Any ideas? :o

  5. Hi there!

    1997 ES Silver/Grey

    Winter package

Purchased 04/2008 for $5,000 with 126K on the odo.

This is my second ES, my first was a 1996 ES 300 Coach Edition.

    Both have been awesome cars!

The 1997 was in perfect condition, I'm the second owner. I had to replace 3 tail light bulbs, (the dummy light is still telling me it's out for some reason) and rotated the tires.
