  1. Hey, wait a minute! I just realized you revieved an old thread and I already said this once above back in June. I would have deleted my post but can't figure out how.

NP it is still good advice! Lexus wants $50 for a replacement.

  2. Try here:

I will give feed back this week, I ordered mine Sunday, they were sent out and I am waiting for the mail...

    So how'd it go?

I have had BOTH of my Lexus RX 330 (2004) keys break within 2 weeks of each other. The one the key still works and the front case is still attached. I may tape it for now! Today the second key literally BROKE OFF (the metal part) in the ignition. That one is probably "shot."

Any cheap ways of doing this for a now unemployed RX 330 owner is appreciated. Thanks.

  3. Then I noticed a light on my dash board. It looked like the headphones for my DVD player. One of them needed new batteries so I thought "how smart -- it knows I need new batteries for a headset!"

One week later a person honks at me from a car next to me at a stoplight. "Do you know you have a flat tire?"

    Doh!

Yep, I looked in the Lexus 900 page book and saw that the idiot light is the one indicating a flat. It had been on for about 2 weeks!

    Doh! Doh!

These come under the heading of "Doh!" (as in Homer Simpson having an "aha" moment).

The first week I had my RX 330 I was really ticked off that my pre-set outside mirrors kept reverting back to the factory setting. I finally called Lexus. They asked "Does this only happen when you go in reverse?"

    Yep.

The Lexus person nicely told me that this is a "feature" for backing up.

    Doh!
