Personally, I put a box that was a bit of a tight fit in the back seat and either putting the box in or pulling it out, the corner of the box scraped there. At first I thought it was an oil or ink stain from the box. Then I saw that it was the coating that scraped off. It happens very easily, I would like to know what was used to touch it up.
My car alrady had these marks when we bought it. It only had 10k miles but I guess some kinds were in the back seats juding by the stains on carpeting.
There are several interior paints available, but the key is getting close match to the OEM color. Ford sells their interior trim paints in cans for any interior color. It would be great if Lexus did that too ;)

We have an 07 ES350. The panels that cover the rear srs air bags in the rear door jamb are made of black plastic and painted with a thin coat of gray paint to match the interior. The paint scratches off easily just by rubbing against it with anything, we've had them touched up twice at the dealer. They can't seem to find a solution. Other than that we've had the car for 18 months and love it...gets nearly 34 mpg on the road.
Do you know what paint they used ? Is it available ? Those exact areas are scracthed up on my car, would like to make them look new again ;)

Would you mind sharing the actual cost of the repair or any other details ?
My wife's ES needs at least a repaint of the cover, possibly a replacement as well.
I wonder if it's more or less than our deductible.
Thank you !

Thanks for the follow up. I guess I have to go shopping on my own. There are paints in this color, it's gonna take some trials, but I'll get there ;)
Replace the panels ? I wonder if they are sold separately from airbags ?
