  1. I am having trouble with my 2007 ES 350 recognizing my new Sanyo SCP-3810 phone. She says she is searching, but ends up not finding anything. I have been using a Samsung phone for over two years without any problems. Does the system have to initialized? It say it will accept up to 6 phones.....

  2. Thats my guess too...

It could be that the new iPhone is just not compatible...

I paired my iPhone 4, without issue.

I can't get my "Bluetooth" to recognize my Sanyo SCP-3810. It worked fine on my Samusung for 3 years. Does the old phone have to be deleted completely?

  3. Please read the piston slap thread. The engine needs to expand to regular operating levels, until that happens the engine is in warm up mode, making the sound known as piston slap. The quality of the car has nothing to do with it. This is the same engine they put in Camry's, Highlanders, RXs, IS350s, and any other Toyota or Lexus branded vehicle that comes with the 3.5 engine. They all do the same thing. Any engine is prone to this, especially with the new materials being used for the different components of an engine. It is a great engine!

  4. Hi,

I noticed that I have a tiny (1mm X 1mm) chip on the hood of the car. My guess is that a tiny gravel or some similar thing has stuck it while on the freeway (I drive it 40 miles on the freeway each weekday) causing the chip.

Can anyone offer suggestion on what should be done? Is there an easy DIY fix or some other reasonable option (i.e. I'd like to avoid getting the hood or the entire car repainted)? One option obiously is to leave it alone, but I'd like to know if there's a downside to that and suggestions on ways to fix this.

thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I had a similar problem. Right after I purchased my ES350 I noticed several little chips. I wondered if there was a problem with the paint job! I used the touch up paint from the dealer and a little "rubbing compound". Then tried not to notice them any more. I don't think anyone else does...
