  1. I have a 2006 GS 430. I've noticed a noise that appears to be coming from the front left speaker area. Just recently I took the car into the dealer to have it checked out, the dealer told me that they added additional foam sound proofing and tightened up my drivers side door panel. The noise is still there. I don't expect the LS ride on my GS but don't think we should have to live with a rattle noise. Has anyone else experienced this? I want additional info before I go back to the dealer and raise hell. Any help is appreciated.

  2. Yesterday, I had two tv's installed on the headrests of my 06 GS 430. I'm very happy with the end result except that I cannot see the same image on the front built in screen as I can on the rear. Has anyone solved this issue by chance? I had them override the motion restrictions, so I can watch a video in the front but I can't show the same image on all 3 TV's. I don't want to replace the Mark Levinson system all together. I just wished someone made a module/harness so my 3 TV's can become friends. :cries:

I also had them install an i-pod module. I have controls of the playlists from the steering wheel controls, I can see what's playing on the front unit but I cannot watch videos from my i-pod. Does anyone know of a vendor for this?

    Thanks!

  3. I found a stereo shop in Woodland Hills (Southern California) that will override the motion restrictions for $150. The owesome part is that they do not cut any wires or even take anything apart. They know a mechanic at a Lexus dealer that will do it using the on board computers. Warranty is not void. Can't go wrong.

They did it on my 06 GS 430 today. Works great. E-mail me, if you want the stereo shop info.

can he get rid of the "I Agree" prompt too?

    Unfortunately it did not!

  4. Thanks to Rolling Audio, here's what my car can do:

Navigation entry and POI in motion

    Phone Dial in motion

    DVD in motion

    Mp3 Browsing in motion

    Menu/settings in Motion

This company was fast and affordable. No $400 cable to buy.

I watched them during the whole process. They respected my vehicle with careful removal of parts, towels and mats while they were in the car and most important, NOW I CAN USE MY CAR to it's full potential!

PM me or PM Rolling Audio for info (sacramento)

  5. Although I dont recommend watching dvds while driving, its definately nice to have if you have kids or even to entertain your friends, girlfriend, wife, etc...

Its an easy fix that you can do yourself (I did it on my car in about 2 hours and that was going slow to ensure that I didn't F anything up!)

The guy that figured it out is located in Southern Cali and has a shop out there, so those of you that live out there and dont want to do it yourselves, he charges $150.

I'm at work right now, so I will post up the directions and the guys shop address/phone later when I get home.

I just wanted to see how many people out there with the 2006 GS would be interested in doing this??

BTW: This procedure also bypasses the bluetooth lock, so you will be able to dial out from the screen while the car is in motion also.

I'm not as brave as you are. Can you give me the contact info for the So. Cal guy that will do this. Thanks!!

  6. I've read on some other members' posts about a motion override code for the nav system. Does anyone know the code or where I can find it. I have an '06 GS 430. Thanks.

I have an 06 GS 430. My GPS Version is 5.03.05. I tried the procedure you outlined but it did not work for me. I did get the screens you described to come up but I still need to have my parking brake on to see DVD's. Was this meant for older versions of the software? Thanks for the help!
