Hi, Mine is a 2003 LS430. I ordered a pair of trunk supports from Lift Supports Depot (www.autopartsbylou.com) for $41 each plus $7.90 shipping. They were shipped promptly. Installed them this a.m. & they seem to work fine. Saved a couple hundred bucks, I think.

I have a 01 LS 430 and my trunk struts are shot. I don't want to pay what the dealer wants ($200 per strut). Are there any third party sources to find a part to replace these reasonably?

The trunk lifts on my 2003 LS430 are shot. Does anyone have info on how hard it is to replace them? The struts are ball-and-socket on both ends. Looks pretty straight forward but I'm not sure how difficult it is to remove and replace them. Thanks much for any advice.
