I was looking for some new springs for my car, and i cant seem to find a decent deal on the Pro-kit springs for my car. i found a good deal on some SC300 springs and i just wanted to know if it would work without any major issues. i know the 400 is a little heavier, so would it really make a huge difference?
The SC400 is ~100-150 heavier in front.
so the sc300 springs will have a slightly lower spring rating.
The car might be 1/4 inch lower in front with the sc300 springs
but aside from that it'll work

Most likely its a blown strut, but random acts of god may have actually bent a control arm or something. I would put my money on the blown strut though
My car's like this and I need a new one too. Front right though. Not sure if its blown or a different kind (my car was in a wreck). I think I might got all new lowering shocks & springs.
BTW I was quoted $75 for a complete strut and spring assembly from 2 different places so expect to pay about that much.
yeap sounds like a blown or leaking shock

I have a set of brakes available
with new pads too

yeah the SC with TT Shocks and TT Eibach's will drop the car 2.5"
-
check the pick up in the rear pumpkin
-
too bad no one makes Urethane kits for the SC :(
-
try a carbon fiber hood, that will save you over 100 lbs!!!!
also relocated the battery to the trunk
that would help with the weight distribution

jeremyp:
where are you located?
what color is the kit?
thanks

I've seen it on Ebay
-
yeah, don't do it
-
take out the factory head unit, it's 2.5 din, lots of space there
-
money wise it's not a practical thing to do,
your best bet is to sell the car and get a SC300 with a manul
and maybe get a NA-T kit for more power

There's a member on clublexus, but the name Phil who wrote a how to on converting over to a TT,
the manin thing he has is the wiring diagram, that's pretty helpful for witing up the 2jzgte to the sc300
2.2crx:
you best bet is to had a NA-T kit
the NA-T supra's run pretty well some up to 600hp
so there's really no need to swap out the entire motor.
the 2JZ-GE is a pretty solid motor itself, only thing missing is the oil squiters used to cool the cylinders (but thats over kill in the GTE motor)

yeah they sell something like that in the JC whitney catatlog,
they have mostly crap in there,
but I did see something to raise the car.
-
You can get supra TT brakes for like ~550

Try a can of Super Seal from Quest.
Autozone carries it.
Works pretty good
