For the first time ever, I saw a green LS460 this morning with beige (not alabaster) interior... I think it looks really nice, but in agreement with SW03ES, it does look better on the GS. :)

Check out eBay Motors; you can enter your zip code and find vehicles in your area. If you have any special requirements/needs, just type them into the search box when all the vehicles for sale appear. :)
Good Luck!

There really is no comparison with a Lexus and BMW in my opinion. Lexus is known for luxury, BMW is not. BMW is known for sport, Lexus is not. If you aren't too concerned about luxury, but want a sporty car, the BMW is the way to go and vice versa.

Hello all!
I'm looking at purchasing a 2009 Lexus RX350 and have been doing some research, hence finding this board!
Currently I have a 2000 Toyota 4Runner LTD which I absolutely LOVE! But, she's now 8 years old and just
over 100,000 kms and I would like a new vehicle. I had been looking at the Acura MDX and the RX350.
Looking at reviews etc, I think the 350 is a far better vehicle.
I want to get it fully loaded (every option available). Does anybody own one with all the extras? Any reviews?
I noticed on the US site (I'm in Canada) that 'laser cruise control' is an option but I don't see that in Canada.
I have yet to go on a test drive (will be doing that soon), so I'm still at the 'research' stage.
Thanks for any feedback :)
ToyotaFan:
When looking at a new car we test drove the Acura MDX (w/ Sport Package), Lexus RX350 (w/ everything but Levinson and DVD entertainment), and a GMC Acadia (SLT-2, every option). Our main buying points were more space (preferably 7 passenger) and luxury.
When we went to test the RX, I absolutely loved it, but unfortunately it only seats 5 passengers and didn't have the cargo room I was looking for. The ride was great; very quiet and luxurious, but it did not handle nearly as well as the MDX. It was the most expensive of the three, costing ~$46,000.
The MDX was a great car. I didn't like it as much as the RX, but it was very nice. Handling was superb, but I hated the navigation setup; it has an iDrive like controller, but it took about 8 minutes to program in our address vs. our BMW 5-Series which takes about 3 minutes. Technology wise, while it had a great sound system and higher resolution screen, I felt it wasn't up to par with the Lexus.
We are GM Card holders, so we got a $3,500 discount on the GMC Acadia which I loved. It's large and roomy, but more agile than a minivan. In terms of technology it doesn't come close to either the Lexus or Acura, but having a touch-screen nav is very nice. As you can probably tell, we chose this vehicle for its size and price... (we're getting ~$9,000 off the MSRP)
If I was going to be the main driver of the vehicle, I would have chose the Lexus, but since we needed the extra space, the GMC Acadia really gets the job done well.
Good Luck,
Simon :)

Hello,
I'm new to these forums, but have been a long-time lurker.
Anyway, I have a few questions about the 1999 LS 400.
How does it drive? Is it quiet inside, and how quiet on a scale from 1 to 10?
Does it fit 5 adults pretty comfortably?
What is the approx. MPG?
Is it safe? What ratings did it get in frontal and side?
Does it work pretty well in snowy conditions?
Does it look nice in Silver?
Thanks!!
If You Had To Choose Something Other Than A Lexus...

We did not get a Lexus, but owned a GS400 from 1999-2001. I LOVED that car, but it was owned by the company and got sold at 50,000 miles. We did look at an RX350 (nav, etc.) last fall, but decided that the GMC Acadia would be the best choice as it was the largest, and had reasonable build quality. If it were my choice, we would have got the Lexus, but 7-passenger seating was a MUST, so... I guess my 2nd choice would have been the Acura MDX or Mercedes ML350. :)
