  1. You can use a knife and cut away the top cover. Inside you will see wires leading from the connector end to the hot sensor. At times a wire will get burned out and an easy fix is to re-solder that wire back in place.

Image below of the cover atop the AFM.

  2. Oil changes every 3000KM, not needed that early but I get bored hahaha. And do most stuff myself, save for wheel balancing and alignments. Then again I really havent had any trouble with the LS after a few years, most major was a PS hose repair and alternator swap.

  3. Items are in Niagara Falls ON Canada, pick up welcome, shipping is possible.

Removed from early LS400, fitting up to 2000 model year I believe. Very low use, between 8-10,000 KM. Essentially like new condition, absolutely no oil leaks either.

    No longer for sale$, firm

Im sure there are many cheaper "new kits" on the market, most of which are direct from China with zero R&D behind them.

Some photos, PM if interested and thanks.

  4. Hi guys, not been on for a short while but I still own the LS :)

Anyhow, I have a spare set of lamps, complete with ballasts. They were working just fine when removed.

Looking for 450 shipped anywhere in North America.

PM if anyone is interested, great deal for a good set of lamps that arent damaged.

Will get photo up here asap.

  5. Not sure who to address this to, but I ordered a Lexus OC mug for my brother recently. Mug was delivered to his Niagara Falls address and all broken to pieces. Not to mention not even being a Lexus mug it rather said something about the air force and a phrase about grandpa? And there were two mugs and I only ordered one.

If any of the mods can straighten this out it would be appreciated.

Thanks and no hard feelings, accidents happen!

  6. I have a 2001 LS430 and the brakes need some help. There is pulsating when applying the brakes especially when slowing down from a higher speed. I've checked some of the auto supply stores and they don't seem to stock them. Am I forced into buying from the dealer? Does anyone know of a good source for them?

    Thanks.

Sounds like the rotors are warped. May be just age or you recently just overheated the pads. Been there...it stinks!

There are many rotor options for the LS430 including drilled/slotted rotors.

  7. Those are some very nice cars!!! The GTR isn't out yet here in the states, but I'm pretty sure we're only a couple months away from the release. I have only seen them in pictures. AND, we don't have the Skylines here, or the Sylvia. <_<

Yes I believe the R35 GTR will be debuted some time in July to be safe.

Many Skylines were sent over to the US way back and more still come in through Florida I believe. That is the only state it seems which allows these cars under kit cars reg.

  8. Welcome to the LOC.

Nice list of cars. So your in Japan now? Is that where you are from and currently live? And your family lives in Niagra Falls?

Hi and thanks! Yes have been in Japan for just over 4 years now, but visit Canada a few times are year. N.F is my hometown too!

  9. Hello all,

Didnt see any intro threads so here I am with a new one.

    Little about me

Been around the Toyota VIP ring for a short time now & looking to learn a little more.

Have owned and sold off many high end Toyota's including Windom's, Altezza. Celsior, MArk II Tourer V's and more. Of course these are all Japanese domestics, but share the same basic branding as the Lexus's back in North America.

Currently my pride & joy was just delivered to family in Niagara Falls. It's a 1991 Celsior C model. 4.0 V8, all the fixxings etc. Dont have any set plans with this car yet, but atleast my brother can enjoy the drive while Im over here working.

    Anyhow, glad to be here!

    Adam
