  1. I have a 1998 ES300 and the stock stereo (non-Nak) is on its last leg. The volume control has a serious delay and sometimes doesn't respond at all. I really want something that has controls for the ipod. I really like the Pioneer FH-P800BT Double Din.

I have seen several installations using the Scoshe kit (LS2081B) and I think it looks great.

Will this fit okay? Any suggestions on where to get the wiring harness?

    Thanks.

it should work fine... you can get a scochse kit from ebay, try seller volunteer audio or something like that... they bundle a harness w/ the kits... i think you may have to bypass an amp though but that shouldn't be difficult.

What's involved in bypassing the amp? I thought you just plugged in the harness and connected the wires and RCAs to the new deck?

  3. amf1932, wwest,

You two are a real hoot! I always enjoy reading all the posts from both of you. This is the probably the most humorous exchange on this forum I have seen.

Keep it up! Merry Christmas to you both.

I agree merry christmas to both, I too enjoy them. Is it because one is from the east coast, and one from the west coast???just kidding.

Thanks for the (entertaining) responses. The humidity is the only reason I can think that it would come on.

  4. I'm a new ES300 owner and have a question about the climate control. It's in the mid-30s outside and if I press the "auto" button with the temp set at 78/79 the "AC" light illuminates. It's easy enough to turn off but I can't figure out why on earth the AC would try and come on when it's cold out and I have the temp set high. Am I doing something wrong? Any ideas?
