  1. Hi all,

My 2002 SC430 has 57K miles and I'm getting ready for the next service - I hear that it is going to be a "big one". Can anyone fill me in on what is going to be done? I ask the dealer and they are always very quick when they describe all the work. What will it all cost? Is there a way around it? (like going somewhere else other than the dealer?)

    Thanks,

    Lainey

  2. I traded my 2000 RX300 for a 2003 SC 430. The RX was the best ride of any vehicle I've ever had. The SC makes up for the slightly harsher ride by pure s*x appeal and the coolness factor.

Hey SpecialK, totally agree with you - I get lots of looks in my car - funny that I usually don't see people my age driving them! It is a HOT car!!

  3. Hi, I am trying to make a decision to buy a used (2002) sc430 or not . First of all, I have to say I love everything about this car(by looking at it) I never drove one , so I am not sure how comfortable it is? Currently I have a rx 300 model 99 and the ride is quite comfortable. Did anyone drove both of these cars? Can you please , express your thoughts about the comfort in sc 430 vs. rx300. Thank you

    Hello,

I have a Pearl White/Camel interior 2002 SC430 and a 2007 RX350, so maybe I can answer your question. I bought the SC and absolutely love it. Now, I will tell you that with runflats on a rough road, it rides like a truck - very different from the SUV. However, I'm considering changing to regular tires and I hear on this forum that it changes the ride significantly.

You can't beat the versatility of the convertible hard top, plus the car really moves on the highway. My son goes to college 8 hours from home and I've taken the SC on the drive down to see him every time. Absolutely a fun car to drive...

Bottom Line, the rides are very different - you have to figure out what you're looking for - fun/zippy/sporty & low or practical/cushy/SUV-high. I love them both!

    Good luck!

  4. Hello,

I just joined the forum and hope someone can help me out with some information. My boyfriend is deciding upon a purchase of a used 1998 LS400 and we need to know what to expect with gas mileage. Can anyone comment?

The car has been well maintained and has approximately 100K miles.

    Thanks,

    Lainey
