I'm currently looking at a 1992 SC400 to buy for my wife. It has 93k miles and service records. I've talked the owner down to $6400, is this a good price? Which is the better car the SC400 or SC300?

Sorry it took longer than anticipated to get back and post my results. I got the fog light from LKQ for $25, a steal compared to others I found for $100+. Thanks for the info on car-parts.com 'steviej' it saved my a lot of money. ;)

I found one at LKQ Birmingham which is about 40 miles away. I'm going tomorrow to get it. It showed in the search on car-part.com that 'steviej' gave me. Billy's Toyota/Lexus parts didn't have one, I called them last week. BTW he is in Calera, Alabama and I always call hime first before searching else where for used Lexus parts. Thanks for all the help and I'll let you know if LKQ has what I'm needing and the price after I go there tomorrow.

Does anyone know of a website or parts house that carries used Lexus parts? I need a driver's side fog light for a 1995 ES300. I tried all my local part yards and none have any. I can get a new one from the stealer, but I hate to put a new part on a 10 year old car.Eespecially an exterior part that hasn't been subjected to the elements and sticks out like a sore thumb and makes me wish I had the $$ to replace the othr one also. Thanks for the help. :(

I have a 1997 ES300 and the radio LCD is faded out (totally black). Is this a common problem with the ES300? Do I have to replace the entire radio or just the LCD? Can it be fixed and if so how or by whom? Any idea what it will cost to fix/replace? :(

:P Finally got around to fixing the problem. It's hard to believe but both low beams were burned out. Thanks for the help!!

skperformance, yes the tail lights work.

I recently purchased a 1999 ES300 Coach Edition with 65,000 miles. Everything works fine on the car except for the low beam on the headlights. The high beams and fogs work fine. Do you think it's only a fuse or relay or the unlikely event that both low beams burned out at the same time? My wife is hounding me to fix it!!

I used Lucas Power Steering fluid with stop leak. It stopped the leak and quietened the power steering pump and hard spots. I got it at Advance Auto parts.

Throttle was sticking from where I jammed it open to clean the throttle body. Sprayed a little WD-40 on it and everything is fine now. Thanks for the suggestions. Hopefully one day I can help someone the way you guys helped me.

I've tried disconnecting the battery with no luck. Where exactly is the IACV? It'll probably be tomorrow before I can try cleaning it. Thanks for your help.

Yes. It seems to idle even faster after warmed up about 1800 rpm.

I have a 1992 LS400 that I cleaned the throttle body according to instructions provided by Curt Oberg. I also change the plugs and plug wires. All went well until I started the car and it idles at around 1600 rpm. Does anyone have an idea as to what may have caused this and how to correct it?
