  1. I have an 04 RX330 and I think all 04 are like this but I have two sets of lights. The regular day lights and the halogen lights that switch over at dusk and night. Can I change out the regular day lights to halogen that way they will be the same 24/7? If so is there a certain size I need? Thanks!

If you don't have the HID option you have 9005 for the high and H11 for the low. You fog lights are 9006. I just replaced mine with Lumincs Xenon bulbs and is a sweet look and improvement. Let me know if you have any questions installing new or any trick I have learned.

I have to say that this RX is a challenge and we work on a lot of cars. This car takes a lot more time to make sure everything you add looks professional. I would have to say everything did have it place and everything I took apart fit nicely together. We could not have done it without the help of you guys out there. Hours of looking through the RX forums taking notes and going to attached websites. Thank you and if anyone needs anything or has any questions please let me know.

  3. hi, i currently have a pioneer DEH-P6400 stereo in my car which i really enjoy. i am thinking of buying an rx300 and wanted to see if there's any way to get the same benefits i have now. i can listen to xm radio without hooking thru an fm modulator. i can also hook my ipod up via line in. anybody know of any way to do this in an rx300?

    thx.

I have a 330RX with the std radio. I am putting in XM and Ipod by using a Vaistech box and a XM direct reciever. It should work nicely. Will install on Friday. Go to www.Vaistech.com for details.

  4. On April 7th I picked-up my new RX 330 and so far I am very pleased with the vehicle except for the wind noise being generated by the roof rack cross members. Since I do not intend to use the roof rack I would like to remove it completely or at least the cross bars. I know that Lexus claims that they redesigned the cross bars to reduce noise, but the air flow across then still generates noise.

I have mentioned this to my dealer, but they claim that they have not done this before and think it may be a big job.

My questions to the forum are:

    a) Can anybody tell me if they have had the roof rack or the cross bars removed and how difficult was it? B) Where can I find instructions on how to remove the cross bars and/or the roof rack?

In the rear there are black plastic caps that remove to expose the two 12mm bolts. You just need to loosen the back two ends and remove the two crossmembers on the roof rack. Leave the two side rails there otherwise you will have holes to fill in your roof. This should help with fuel econ. Be carefull puling off the plactic end caps when you pry them off to not break any of the clips. Heat it up with a hair dryer if it is cold.

    Good Luck!

  5. I want to go one step darker on my 400h. It appears to be around 35%, so I am thinking I want 20%. Anyone know the true percentage?

Anyone have any pics of their RX330/400h with darker tint?

    Thanks for any help! :)

We will be doing a tint on both front doors to match the stock on our RX330 04. I will post it next week. 35% is close to stock but 20% is better because you have front light coming through the front windshield. So during the day it look simular. We use only sun guard products.

  6. Hi all, i have a 2004 rx330 w/nav and factoru sterio (non mark levinson).  i'd like to upgrade the speakers but understand their 2 ohms? while most aftermarket are 4ohms.  Nothing on crutchfiled.  can nayone offer proven suggestions that would work to improve the sound of this sytem.  thnaks alot

    <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

My fiance purchased her RX330 new in Feb 05 (w/o Nav and ML) and kept the head unit but upgraded to Boston Acoustics speakers powered by a 75x4 Alpine amplifier. In addition, she also included 2-10" subs powered by a 175x2 MTX amp for added bass. In all, it sounds pretty clean. The only reason she did not change the radio itself was 1. it was a lease, and 2. she woud loose the steering wheel controls.

BTW....if you are looking to have it professionally installed, steer clear of Tweeter. They raked up $3600 in damages to her truck (albeit it had 250 miles on it) - damage included scratches to the doors, wood gear selector and panels.

    Hope this helps...

Did you use a line output interface? How did you hook up the amp take the rear speaker wires from the head unit, to the interface, to the RCAs to the amp?
