  1. I have a set of 19x9.5 5Zigen Gravis II wheels, with staggered offsets ( 45 in front and 38 in rear), wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza tires. The wheels have 90% tread left on them, and their dimensions are 255/40/19 in the front, and 275/35/19 in the rear (the rears are runflats). These wheels have been discontinued by 5Zigen, you'd be hard-pressed to find them anywhere else for such a low price (especially with tires). I purchased the set brand new, and they are still in brand new condition. One of the wheels was originally a chrome finish..I had it professionally refinished so that they all match wonderfully. The only problem with these wheels is that one wheel has some slight chips in the finish due to an incident during mounting...I was given a free mount and balance in the future with them on any size tire/wheel combination by the shop supervisor personally. They have been professionally mounted and balanced by a Toyota dealership. Again, these wheels are in BRAND NEW condition. Feel free to make me an offer, but please refrain from lowballing. I am being forced to sell these wheels (after a long search for them) because of tuition bills. Below are photos taken Jan. 6th, 2008. I apologize for the tires looking dirty, they are in EXCELLENT condition, but my driveway seems to always be dirty. Serious offers only.

I will also include (if wanted) a pair of 10mm spacers, a full set of 12x1.5 tuner lug nuts, and a set of hubcentric rings for a UCF10 hub size.

Please be aware of the rarity and quality of these wheels, these are authentic 5Zigen wheels, from their Sports Engine line of luxury wheels.

  2. This was a one-time deal by Bose. The engineers had fun with this project, using it as a testbed for new technology they had developed, never actually expecting it to go to market (as it never did). Fun to watch, and dream...

  3. The rear tires on my 02 GS430 are wearing very badly on the inside. Lexus dealer has done a 4 wheel alignment two different times, but the problem remains. This has happened to two different sets of tires over a period of four years. The dealer says "it's normal"..... ya right!

I have read that other people have experienced this problem as well. Anyone been able to come up with a solution???

Carrying any extra weight in the rear? Do you frequently carry passengers in the backseat? Do they adjust the camber during these alignments? Try a rotation, just switch the fronts for the rears (the wheels AND tires), see if it helps.

  4. I have a chance to get a good deal on a set of 2000+ GS400 wheels, 17x8's, and want to know if they'll fit (and look good) on my 91 LS400. I've scoured the forums with the search bar, and are unable to find this specific combination. Will the brakes clear? Does anybody have any photos of this setup? Also....recommended tire size? Thanks for the help everybody, I've been unable to find my answer by other means.

  5. I think the lower body cladding of the 90-92 LS400 is somewhat different than the lower body cladding of the 93-94 LS400. The beefier lower body cladding of the 93-94 LS was mentioned in advertisements. If you put cars of the two series side by side, the difference is striking.

good to know. I am unable to edit the title of the thread, but I am now looking for a 90-92 molding. Thanks everybody.

How did you get yours off? I know of the clips but how do you replace them, they seem to break off when you remove them and look to be part of the cladding, not replaceable? I know where one is (silver) if it is still there, a yard in So. Cal. Email me pishta68@hotmail.com

Mine was stolen off of the car in the middle of the night, apparently someone else was missing their's too...The car still has the clips intact on the body, I believe. I recently found one on ebay, it's burgundy, for about $20. I just ordered it today, I'll have to paint it once it arrives, but the lexus just looks so disheveled without it.

  7. I have very similar issues. The car always lurches when shifting into drive, and sometimes when shifting into reverse. The shifter itself is also very loose in the console, the sensation is similar to a loose nut somewhere down in the shifter linkage. I took apart the console, but couldn't see down far enough to locate the problem. The shifter wiggles with about 1/2" of play to the left and right. I also experience some lag when shifting, and some lag, occasionally, when I am cruising and step hard on the gas. It's as though the transmission doesn't know which gear to choose. Also, possibly related, my "O/D off" light flashes from time to time for about 10 minutes at a time. Since the overdrive is part of the transmission, I assume these issues may be related. Any advice?

  8. ok, i took the fuse out and, sure enough, it was blown! went to the part store and bought the fuse, replaced it, and now it works!!!

thank you for your help!!! :D

for future situations similar to this: any time you have an electrical component or system in the car that simply quit working, or never worked, check your fuses first. It can save you hours...trust me...
