  1. I was at the dealer for routine maintenance and they had a 2010 ES350 in the showroom with 20" wheels. (I did not get the tire size, but I will). They looked great, and the car was not higher that the stock tires. I have a 2007 and my tires (Michelin Primacy)are due to be replaced soon. I woud like a firmer ride and less body roll. I love the look of the 20". Does anyone have 19 or 20" on their ES350? How is the ride? would you recommend it? What tire size are you using?

    Thanks

  2. I've had the same problem. At first I thought it was my telephone. I've changed my telephone but people on the other end still report that they are having a hard time hearing me. It has gotten to the point where I have stopped using the bluetooth in the car unless I have to.

The phone connection works fine on my end, but the person I'm calling can't hear well or, in one case, not at all.

I hate to think I need to take this to the dealer, but it seems like it will be necessary.

Any chance there's an obvious fix to this? Re-pairing, for example. I will probably try that anyway.

I believe you can adjust your mike level. Check the manual as I am shure that I did that to mine in a LS460.

Thanks. I was wondering if that were possible. But I hadn't had a chance to check the manual.

  3. ROFLMAO...... that is me... up until this weekend. I drive 5,000 miles in about 2 months. My car is less than 2 years old and reads 47K on the odo. My BIG bag of money is gone. Not to mention tires and regular maintenance. I am going to put in synthetic in so that I can last a bit longer between changes.

  4. Garaged at home. Sometimes I'll leave it outside for about an hour so the engine cools down before bringing it inside. Outside at work, but rear shade always up (to protect the speakers) and front shade in place if parked in the sun. I try to park in the shade (I live in Florida where the sun in the summer is brutal), but not directly under a tree. (birds)

  5. If it happens that often to you, I would say you were tailgating, or maybe following too close for their comfort.

That's what I thought, so I've been careful not to tailgait. I learn how to drive in New York City and now live in South Forida. Aggressive driving is in my DNA, but I've been good since I bought this car. It does not happen too often (considering I' m the highways everyday) but it still irks me.

  6. I get peeved when driving behind someone and they turn on their windshield washer and sprays my car. Epecially when my car is clean. (I am not tailgaiting). Am I being to sensitive? Is it just me?

Yes, I do not like the rain either especially after I just wash my car, and I have been known to stay home until the rain passes.

    It is just you.

    It's good to be unique :D :D

I won't even mention cigarette butts that's thrown out the windows.

Yeah, but after the rain passes, the roads are all wet... With as much as it rains in So Fla in the summer, might as well just take your wife's car and keep your car clean in the garage!

The good thing about South Florida, especially in the summer when we get the afternoon showers, the place is completly dry an hour after the rain. Actually, that's what I do if I have to go out.

  9. Thanks for the response.

It is the HTC Mogul. Sprint is the carrier.

Excellent phone all around and the sound is great as stereo via the head phones. I connected a friends Sansa via the FM transmitter. The sound was great. I love it, but did not want to get another MPS player. Kmart has it pluses.....but you flew to Fresno to pick up your car and drove it to Va..... WOW!!!!

  10. A question along the same line. My cell phone plays mp3 and through the headphone it plays in stereo. I connected to the mp3 port using the cable from Radio shack, but it plays as mono. The sound comes from just one side of the car. I was trying to avoid getting another mp3 player. Any thoughts?

  11. Do you need a special tool to pull the oil filter? If so, can you buy it at the dealer. I bought a filter a few months ago, read the instructions and took the car straight to the dealer.

You can order the proper oil filter tool from your Lexus parts dealer, but I've seen some aftermarket tools that'll also do the job, and much cheaper.

Cool.. Thanks. I am due to an oil change soon. THe light came on today as a matter of fact. I might tackle it.

  12. I bought mine about a year and a half ago at 41 (which I still consider to be young). In Boca Raton, where I work, (and the average population are retirees and is over 65 years old) every other car is a ES350 driven by a little old man or lady. In Orlando or other parts of Florida, the ES350 is not a popular. Even rare. The average age is also younger.

So yes, we did buy a car where the average owner is older that us.(I'm still young... I'm still young...I'm still young) :D :D

My wife said it is indicative of my good taste. (hmmmmm.......) :blushing:

Anyway, the IS (even the 350) is too small. I have kids and they have no room in the back for them. I love the roominess if the ES.

  13. I also live in South Florida. My OE Michelins MVX gave me 40K miles (mostly highway). I just replaced them with the the same Michelins MVX4 Primacy. We had heavy rain today (the first since I had the new tires) and I was impressed with how they handle the water. The afternoon downpours are no joke here in South FL. so good handling in water is important.

  14. I love my car. I've had it for over a year and a half with 41,000 miles with no problems. It is not perfect, but I've never had a car that it. And that includes the BMW's, Audi's and a mixture of Japanese and American made. (Maybe my '97 300Z was perfect above 3500 RPM) Overall, when the entire package is considered nd for the price, I love it.
