  1. I've asked this question before, but does anyone know where to find those chrome headlight and tail ligght trim rings for our cars? Lextasy wants $125.00 per set each which I have a problem with. Ebay has them but I hate doing business there anymore. I really like the finished look they ofer but have been unable to find them anywhere else'

    Need help!

  2. <I always consider the model year. However, mileage is really more a factor here in as much as the gs300 hasn't changed much since 98. Also be aware that the A4 will be smaller and does not have the repair history of the Lexus.

The A4 is a great car with superior performance characteristics. The Lexus is more a head turner with better resale.

    Tough Choice!

  3. First of all, stay away from any "combination Cleaner/Conditioner". The most respected product on the market is LEXOL. I have used their cleaner and conditioners for my last 4 vehicles and have always had great looking and feeling leather - ALWAYS, LIKE NEW..

If you've never treated your seats before, wash them as directed with the cleaner and then very generously apply the conditioner. After a couple of hours wipe down with a clean towel and reapply another shot of condtioner. YOU WILL BE AMAZED!l

  4. Welcome to the club. I bought a 2000 GS300 with 12K miles on it. Had it verified and have had a ball with the car. i did extensive research on the car and especially the engine. The common belief is that the this may well be the the finest production engine ever built. Real life expectancy is 200K without major issues. I have friends who claim upwards of 150K miles with zero problems. Of course my personal feelings are that if you use Mobil One and take decent care, this car will last about as long as you want it to.

Also, the styling is timeless and unique. Anyone who knows cars would recognize a GS model even if it were debadged. Now how many cars can you say that about??

    Good Luck

  5. <_< You Know, it's interseting that the more things change, the more things get copied. The new GS for 06 looks like an Altima. The rear end has lost its distinction and the front looks like "every car". The uniqueness that has been the GS is gone with this new model. The reason the current GS has worn so well is because there is NOTHING that it lookes like. The new GS looks like a bunch of things, none of which I consider breaking new ground.

  6. ;) My GS is the crystal white (062) and the chrome rings would set off the car pretty well. I have the standard 16" wheels and will go to the either 17" or 18" chrome when I need a tire change. Be cause I drive over 40K miles per year, it shouldn't be long before I make that switch.

Still need pricing on the rings and welcome suggestions about chrome wheels.

  7. I recently purchased my GS 300 and my only concern are the wheels. I have the standard 16'" wheels and would like to know if there would be any sacrifices to ride quality by switching to either the 17" or 18" wheel packages?

Undersatnd that my driving is mostly open-road between major cities in Texas.

    Thanks in advance.
