Does anyone know how to reprogram a key, i changed my battery and now my car wont start!! please help!!!!

Lost a key for my 2000 GS 300 (fortunately have one other). Called dealer and was told cost to replace and reprogram transponder would be $ 240 bucks ! Wow!

Does anyone have a reasonabel alternative to this ripoff? Found a site where I can get a new blank w/transponder (programmable) for

$ 65 and a keysmith that can laser cut it for another $40. Can anyone do better? Thanks in advance.
