  1. I need to change my oil, first time doing it on the RX330, but I've done it many times on my other cars. So I look on lexus-parts.com and find these parts:

90430-12031 - Gasket Oil Drain Plug

    90915-YZZD1-01 - Oil Filter - 6 Cylinder

Are these the correct ones for a 2004 Lexus RX330 4x2?

Can I get these at Toyota also? (Toyota dealer is MUCH closer to me right now than Lexus dealer)

  5. I have been experiencing a crying noise coming from my power steering (on my 2004 RX330, with 20,000 miles) when the vehicle is cold. It only makes this noise while turing the steering wheel 2-4 times then stops. It only does it when the temperature drops below 50 degrees and is worse the colder the temperature. The dealer cannot fix it and is stumped! Anyone having similiar problems?? I have had the problem since it was new.

Also any upadates on the ticking noise comming from the dash when temperatures also drop below 50 degrees?

  6. tom,

You will need to call Waymire Group @ 317.634.4824 in Indianapolis to specifically answer your question. They installed the hitch/wiring harness. On the invoice they have listed a wire harness FLT CA and brackect kit. I am sorry about not being more specific since I am not really handy.

I will say, this is my first Lexus and will be my last. My expectations were set to high for this vehicle, and I have had no better treatment with the dealer and the costumer service personnel (800 #) than the Ford dealer down the road. It has all been lip service to this point. Good Luck, Jim

  7. Just took delivery of new RX 330 and noticed that low beams are great for 25 yards, but can't see beyond that distance in dark night w/o high beams. Do my low beams need adjustment or is this just the way these HID lights work?

I had the same problem with my 04 330, and had the dealer raise the light as high as the adjustment would allow. This GREATLY improved the distance and overall illumination. Good luck.

  8. You need a towing package that includes a new converter...I believe you will have to add the pigtail/wiring harness.

    jim s,

The tow package does include the necessary connection. I had to take my 330 to a trailer hitch company that the dealer recommeded, that way the warranty will not be questioned. They put the wiring harness on and hitch for $200.00. The harness (that comes with the tow packages) is under the left rear storage compartment. You have to remove the storage bin. It has been really a pain to get to this point, since Lexus really has not been much help. Hope this helps. Jim
