  1. The unit is called Calibre, has anyone heard of this? It sounds too good to be true, I would love to kick "the mans !Removed!" with this unit ists hidden. They guarantee if you get a ticket they will pay it?

The dealer is most likely selling their radar/laser detector system. Radar/laser detectors are legal in all states except for D.C. and Virginia. Laser and radar jammers are illegal in Nebraska, Minnesota, Utah, California, Oklahoma, Virginia, Colorado, Illinois and Washington DC. If the dealer is indeed selling the Calibre laser jammer system, you should find out if that particular system will cause a jam code in the police laser guns. If the cops get a jam code, you are in a heap of trouble.

  2. I just had the F-Sport springs installed. They're much stiffer than stock, and the increased stiffness really shows when going over speed bumps. I haven't had a chance to really push the car yet, but from the few corners I did throw the car through, handling is much better. This is how our cars should have come stock.

how much did you pay for the springs?

    thanks.

I paid $250 shipped from Sewell Lexus. This was when they were offering a special sale before the F-sport parts were actually released. They still have the promo code up, but I'm not sure how much of a discount it would get you. The dealer wanted me to pay $880 for installation and alignment. Since the over the counter warranty on the springs is longer than the factory warranty I have left on the car, I opted to have them installed at my not-so-local mechanic. I ended up paying $250 total for install and alignment.

  3. I just received a quote from my Stealership on the cold air intake - $541.45 installed. This pricing is absolutely ridiculous!!! Does anyone know if a NON Lexus dealer can install the F-Sport parts and it still be covered under warranty?

The intake should be easy enough to install yourself. I had the airbox out when I installed my HID kit. Installing the pipe itself is straightforward. Look for one of the DIY posts on installing HID and you'll find the airbox removal instructions. I think the warranty should be ok since it's a Lexus approved part.

A little explanation about the warranty. If installed before retail delivery, parts are covered for the same time as the new car limited warranty. Installation by Lexus dealer after retail delivery is warrantied for 12 months . Accessories purchased over the counter are also warrantied for only 12 months.

slight correction: if installed by a Lexus dealer after retail delivery, the part is warranted for 12 months or the remainder of your limited vehicle warranty, whichever is longer.
