Just had to replace a sensor due to broken valve stem. $220 total. $120 for sensor, $100 for flat tire/reprogram. Reprogramming is only necessary when there is a new sensor added in.

Does anyone know if Toyota valve stems will work with the lexus?

Does anybody know how much the dealer will charge to program new sensors?

Thanks for the feed back. I was extremely patient with my wheels. Was looking at BBS, too much, BBS look a likes, waited for another car to have them installed, did not like them, then black 5 spokes...the list continues. I saw these in the show room and asked about some 19s, they'd have to be specially ordered because they do not stock them, which would be 3-4 weeks for delivery. So i decided to asked around here how owners like 19s and they said that with Canadian roads it is tougher to maintain. I take it you are unfamiliar with the physics of frost heave down where you live, but if you combine that with plows, something else you are probably not familiar with, then you would not understand why I opted for a smaller rim. Practicality over bling wins on my ride.

Is there anyway to put new rims and tires on without the sensors? I was looking at the Sterns ST-1 Beast. I have an Is250 AWD so I think 18x8.5 with a 42 offset would be a nice choice?

How did you get around the wheel sensors or did you install new ones? I was looking at new rims but the sensors would cost an extra $400. Any info would help?

Try looking wheels up on eBay you can get good stuff for very low prices. I got my GS430 OEM wheels & tires for around $1400 with shipping.

Try Stern wheels. They have a few that fit the the AWD models. I'm having trouble finding the rims also with my Is250 AWD. The front calipers hit too.

If I switch rims and tires what is the best way to do the tire pressure sensors? Is there a way around the system so you don't have to use it, or do I have to buy new sensors with the rims and tires? The rims will be summer only so I don't want to switch the sensors back and forth.

Does anybody know where to get a carbon fiber dash kit for the Is 250 (2007). I found one on Ebay for $350. Is there any place that offers a discount?
