  1. Hello Lexus owner gurus!

Los Angeles Times put article about Lexus (and Toyota as well) about vehicles suddenly acceleration on their own.

But article (even referring on investigation by National Highway Traffic Safety Administration) does NOT give any

specific information (and conclusion as well) what models and what could be causing this problem.

I could ask Lexus but of course they are biased .

So any of you know about this problem more specific?

I'm the owner of Lexus RX350 from 2007 and so far I have no this such problem .

    Thank you in advance.

  2. Hi - I wanted to ask if any of the forum owners have experience with a presistent drivers side

    window rattle?

Seems to happen when cold (life in the North East), and have been back to the dealer multiple times

with no success. Of course when there they cannot "hear" the problem. They have applied a 'window kit'

without any resolution. The latest from the dealer is they do not know what is wrong...

I have seen a lot of good advice about other similar noises on this board and wanted to check

any other experiences as I continue to push my dealer for a fix.

Overall a great car but this noise drives me nuts!

I had front passanger door glass rattle on my RX350 08 after 15k (when glass little bit down).

The main cause is: after while robber insulation in door getting more stiff and does not absorb

vibration. Therefore the dealer replace regulator and insulations of mounting points.

Now no rattles so far. (It's covered by warranty).

    Regards, Oleg

  3. Hello RX350 Gurus,

Some how (after 1 year having this car) when I keep front passenger door window open (just about 1 inch down)

during the driving the glass starts to make vibration. If I touch it (or move up or down little bit) it temporary stops and then starts again.

Any one has this experience and how to fix it (except go to dealer).

    Thank you in advance.

    Oleg

  4. Hello Lexus 08 RX350 GURUS,

Last week I was moving new TV in big box and rear power door was NOT closed firmly, there fore the BIPER was biping

all way from store to home.

When I've asked dealer, he said this is safety issue and BIPER SHOULD BIP.

Question is: is the way to turn off TEMPORALLY the BIPER on NAVIGATION.

    Thank in advance.

    Regards, Oleg

  5. Hello RX350 gurus,

If i'll put new tires on NON Lexus shop (for instance on Wall Mart), they will NOT put pressure sensors

into tires. So question is: how car computer will react on new tires without sensors and if will give

"tire pressure" light ON how to turn OFF? (but spare tire is still original: with sensor).

    Thank you in advance.

    Regards, Oleg

  6. At first, the driver's door pillar seemed to be right in the way when merging into traffic from an on-ramp. I forced someone over the second day that I had it. After that it was just a matter of being more careful and bending forward a bit to use the rear view mirrors and looking around that pillar.

I have different problem on this issue:

The right side mirror shows the image in "zoom out"

scale.(which is very DANGEROUS to figure out how far is approching car on right side) .

For me, since "rear mirror" shows in scale 1:1

I fill very confusing when I'm checking cars approching on right side.

Of course you can tell me "turn your head and watch yourself on rear" but

what for car has those two mirrors showing in different scale?

    Regards, Oleg

  7. Hello Lexus RX350 2008 Navigator's owners:

1.How to switch Navigator display to night (dark) modem automaticaly?

(I can go to display set up and reduce brigtness-but this to many steps).

2.How to turn off radio during giuding? (the same as during vioce commands).

    Thank you in advance.

    1) There is the dash light dimmer knob (next to the "trip/odo" button) located to the left of the steering wheel column. If you do NOT set the brightness to the max this will auto dim the Nav screen when the lights are on (by lights, I don't mean your driving lights) The knob "clicks" in the max position, so you can set it at the max position before it clicks. This also dims the dash lights slightly, but I like it as the Nav screen is not bright at night.

    2) Not sure, haven't had the "need". Let us know if you find out.

The reason to turn off the radio during guiding: when you are listening radio (music or news) it's difficult to hear guiding voice (unless you set up max volume off guiding) and therefore

there is the chance to miss guiding instruction (again unless you push "vioce buton" and repeate guide

    instruction.

    Thanks for response.
