I purchased a set of RX330 OEM replica wheels from them to go on our 2002 RX300, no drama, great pricing, balanced well. I was skeptical at first - read plenty of bad reviews, but also the good reviews were overwhelming (most bad reviews were from people that didn't read the detail of the items for sale, and just wanted to complain).

One wheel arrived with some very very slight scratches (looked like sandpaper scratch) in the powdercoat topcoat, not even into the metal, I ordered another so I'd have a 5th for a spare. At about 1/3 the cost of OEM, I figured I couldn't go wrong.

that look goes really well with the baggy jeans hanging halfway down your butt and the sideways baseball cap. Sort of the "Gangsta' prison rapper wannabe". You could drive your bling Lexus into Compton and hang with the bro's...for about 5 seconds.

just wondering too, if/when I do end up needing to buy a set of 4 tires...I think I will be going with the Michelin Energy MX4 (been told by a few people and read online that they're quieter and smoother of a ride than the Goodyear Eagle RS/A that I have now which came with the car)...

what has been the best deal people have gotten on the Michelin Energy MX4 in 235/55 R18 and are all tires in this size super pricey? as in 150 USD and up? I never had to buy tires before and didnt realize that normal size cars can get away with tires for about 200 USD for a set of 4!!

...the same dealer that wanted $1000 to turn 4 rotors and replace the pads...I don't think so! But thanks for the advice. Was hoping that someone had seen this and remedied the same.

We had the same vibration from the front under braking occur, and the Lexus dealership turned the rotors under warranty - that was at about 20K miles. (we live on a pretty steep hill, and it's tough to get the rotors warmed up before you need to really brake hard).

We went back for a 30K service and felt that an alignment was due (due to a curb/parking incident), and the same dealer told us that all of the rotors needed replacement, as they were not within tolerance (not enough material to turn). The estimate was $1000 for all 4 wheels. Brought the vehicle home, pulled the front wheels, mic'd them (still plenty of material for a mild turn/cleanup and stay within spec), took them to the local auto parts store, had them turned for $10/each, put them back on, and they worked perfectly for another 25K miles.

I've been told the one of the fastest ways to get a warped rotor is to apply heavy braking when the rotors are cold. They get hot-spots on them, or don't heat evenly, and warp. If they have a chance to warm up, (light braking will do it quickly), there may be less chance to warp them.

We had the same thing happen to our 2002 RX300 - the indicator was that when braking on a hill, you'd feel the slight pulsing, but nothing major. At speed (60+ MPH), especially on the freeway, when you have the occasional sudden slowdown, and pushed the pedal pretty hard, the front would shake violently.

All it turned out to be was warped rotors. Had them turned for $10 each at a local shop - used the same pads (since they were 60% there), all was good.

I wasn't too pleased with the selection of 16" tires available, so I purchased a set of RX330 18" OEM replica wheels and put Michelin MXV4's on. Great ride, better cornering, quiet.

The overall diameter was nearly identical to the 16" OEM tire and wheel combo. The lower profile modernized the look a bit as well.

Our 2002 RX300 just developed an airbag blinking light fault on the dash warning lights. I've looked through the forum, and it seems that there was a possibility of resetting this by disconnecting the battery for a minute or so, and reconnecting.

This didn't work - the vehicle has never been in an accident, nor had any service that would require touching the airbag, sensors, seatbelts, etc.

The light simply started blinking; any advise out there greatly appreciated (aside from..."don't look at it"!)

I understand that the sensor could be faulty - is that something that Lexus would normally cover? 58K miles since new - always $erviced by Lexu$.
