  1. Daffy, Grand, and all of you other guys that posted about the slower burn speed just made my day!!!! I had some cds that were not working in my cd player (some would play static and some wouldn't play at all.). So, I figured I would try reburning them at a slower speed since so many members recommended it (I did 4x instead of 24x). Sure enough, those cd's work perfectly now!!! Thanks guys!!

I have no problems downloading and burning music with iTunes on my PC. True, the music downloads are locked in to iTunes, but all you have to do is burn it to a cd and rip it, and you can do with it as you please. It's well worth that extra step since you can find almost any song on iTunes, and it's cheap.

ok thats true.. but that means u have to burn a cd =$ put those songs back on your pc = time.. when u can download just about any song from limewire for FREE. and do what u feel with it .

  2. if u call lexus they will send u and owners manual for free.. and put u in there database as the owner of that vehicle.. very good for info and extra keys ..etc

thanks for this info. You may also log on to www.lexus.com. Click the OWNERS tab and the drop down box opens. Now click " owners benifits ". Click Register. Have your VIN#.

You may sign up for all types of info., mags, service notifications, discounts, ect.

    thanks, walt

  3. the point was .! folks were saying they use wmp and real player to burn cds.. even saying they use itunes.. all bad ideas. (y) wmp , real , itunes, all want to sell u music while at the same time they want to stop u from sharing the music u buy.. so they all have different ways of adding some type of protection to their music files, cds, ect.. same thing goes for their software they try to stop u from doing what u want with it.. no cd text.. meaning if u have a compatiable cd player u can c the names of your songs on your head unit , u can combine songs meaning make 1 song 5 songs without pause, add soundfields , like jazz ,pop, rap, ect to each song if u choose.. these are just a few of the things that, software that is not affiliated with the music industry will allow u to do..such as nero, but there are many others out there.. as far was a wav file, no audio cd player will play a wave file.. unless otherwise stated..during the cd burn process whatever software u use is going to convert your file, to a cda file - compact disc audio.. wich will play on any standard cd player.

if u do buy music from 1 of these internet services such as .. wmp, real or itunes b4 u do .. search the internet for software that will strip them of any copy protection they have ..that way your free to do what u want when u want with what u paid 4. how would we all feel if lexus said we couldnt mod our cars that we paid our hard earned money for .. in my book the whole music copy thing is no differnt.once u pay for it do as u please.. B)

  4. alot of older stereos wont handle those.. if u can afford it go with a new head unit one with aux input some have them on the front i know (aiwa) does 4 sure.. or get 1 with the aux in back get a 3 mm to rca adapterand your good to go. oh i forgot fm tansmit u said u have the tape 1 try 1 of the wireless 1s.. not my recommendation i think they sound like crap.

  5. truthfully if u have nero y would u use any other software to burn cds .. programs like windows and real are steup to stop piracy meaning copying and buring cds..therefore they dont give u the options that nero does.. such as cd text and so many more .. me myself i wouldnt use any software that sells music to burn my music.. it just dosent add up.. :D

  6. well heres the deal ..if your going to save your cd on your hard drive.. u should use a losless format ..like ogg vorbis..then when your ready.. u can convert that into anything u want .. mp3 , wma , or and audio file for your cd player.. u can use many different forms of software to do this.. my fav is dBpowerAMP Music Converter which is shareware so its free.. that way your all set 4 what ever u need 2 do.. by the way if u have nero u dont need windows media player to convert your music nero has its own conversion software under extras in nero buringrom..

  7. if you mean your wife has the fm transmitter.. get her some type of direct connection 4 christmas.. dont get me wrong fm transmit sounds ok upto a point ..the louder u turn up the volume the more distortion your going to get .. with direct connect through the line level input thats not going to happen.. so i ? its a matter of taste if u have a system that knocks and u want to get the best out of it go with direct connect.. if u dont care either way go with fm transnmit.

  8. how could a fm signal b better than a direct connection ? go figure.. and y do u need a charger i have and ipod mini whos battery when fully charged is good for 16 hours.. im never in the car that long.. go figure.. theres a million options to listen at home (fm) being by far the worst. lets remember that fm transmit is a option only if u can not (direct connect ) but its surley not and upgrade thats like saying (mono) is better than (stereo).. GO FIGURE.

  9. i use my ipod through my aux input.. i have and after market pioneer head unit.. i also use the pocketdock port at the bottom of my ipod and it gives u excellent sound .. not like the headphone jack wich has to b adjusted .. i have a rf sony 10 disc mp3 changer in the trunk that i disconnected because since ive had the ipod its tottally useless.. and the sound was really bad .. those fm modulators suck! .. they sound worse than the radio.. go for a head unit with aux input man .. its worth it... :D
