It's a good place to plug in your radar detector. You can use the ash tray for coins, or chewing gum wapper disposal, or whatever. I've known people who keep their roach clip in there. :D
I took out the ashtray and use it for storage. It's a nice little square now w/o the danged ashtray!!!
That's exactly what I did, too.

I will be bringing mine in for the 2nd time to have it fixed. After brought it home from the first attempt, I found a loose clip on the floor of the car :o
My IS350 is in the shop RIGHT NOW for the 4th time trying to fix a rattle in the dash, and I have just over 3k miles. I'm so mad right now. They keep saying "we think we fixed it" and the damn thing rattles before I get home. :( I'm VERY unimpressed with Lexus at this point. When I test drove it I heard the rattle and when I told my sales rep he said "a Lexus doesn't rattle". BS. Then he said if it did they would fix it, but here I am with a loaner for the 4th time in month.:chairshot:

I brought my 06 IS 250AWD in recently about this same problem. They could not fix it and had to report the problem back to Lexus. They said that it is not the problem w/ the rearview mirror, it the way the wind flow in the car when the sunroff is retracted all the way. :(
Does anyone have a problem with the review mirror vibrating when the sunroof is retracted....I mean is it so bad it looks like the cars behind are jumping around. I had the dash problem and got that taken care of. Any suggestions? This is my first lexus after having many hondas......

The service consultant at my dealer said that I must bring in the ceramic pads myself if I want them put on. Where is your dealership at? Mine is in Wayzata, MN.
They're free at the dealer if you want em. I know one guy who's done it and he says the braking is just as good, and pedal feel is better, firmer. He does autocross so I reckon he knows how they perform.

My 06 250AWD averages 24MPH (80% of my driving is highway).
Tires Replacement For Is250awd (2006 Model)

My IS250 still has the original tires with it and I recently replace 1 due to a bad bulge caused by a nasty pothole (cost me $200+labor). I was told that the life of those tires are about 35K miles. Are there any other tires that I could put on this baby beside sticking with the ones recommended by the dealer? Thanks.
