I would say to come to our shop, but looking at the shape I agree with the other comments you have received. However, if you want to use the vinyl you should call a company that specializes in Clear bras, vinyl wraps, etc... they will know how to stretch the cutouts properly to conform to the shape. Remember, this stuff is not thin like window tint and needs someone that knows how to the thick stuff.

Thanks! My friend was trying to convince me to swap in the IS250 AWD drivetrain but that's way out of my budget. Coo, I'll look into some OEM ones, but I have to see about clearance. Yea I really would like to have the exhaust just come out right behind the wheels, but I live in CA so the CARB !Removed! would have my car crushed, lol. I'm not sure if there is clearance for the dual exhaust and from the other guys that have run V8s in their CelicaSupras seem to run single, but I'll have to look into it more, me having a SRA should make it easier. Do you know if it's true that when the IS350 guys slap more open exhaust (I think 3.5"?) they loose some bottom end?

I think u should propably go with 2-1/2" y'd into a single 3" after the cats for your application. I think you will keep the bottom end and still breathe ok at 8500 also. You might want to also schedule some engine dyno time and try different combo's to find the best setup.

BTW, are you using Matt and crew at UPFD for the work? Just curious!

We've installed JIC Magic Coilovers on the IS250 last year.

We are planning to install Tom's or Jun Suspension braces and Sway Bars. Was promised prototype sway bars of Progress Technology but it's been over a year, so we are going to use Tom's or Jun's. Check out l-tuned website for good selection of IS parts.

Anyway, love the Coilovers, and took it to the track and tuned the coilovers to 9 clicks on the front and 7 clicks on Drivers Side Rear and 6 on Passenger Side Rear. (I weigh 220 and usually there is no passenger). But follow directions and tune for your taste.

I have an 2007 IS250 without navi and today I was listening to some tunes and then the player just stopped for no reason. At first I thought maybe the cd-r was scratched so I skipped tracks. Nope, nothing happened. I then skipped to the next track and again nothing. I decided to skip to a different disc and again nothing is happening. The disk number changes and the track number will change but nothing happens. I tried to eject the disk and the little amber light flashes and nothing comes out. The cds appears to be trapped inside the player.

Does anyone know if there is away to get the cds to come out of the cd drive? Is there a manual way to do this or some way of pushing a pin of some sort? I want to save a trip to my Lexus dealership. Thank you all for any help in advance.

Where in Ca., I can save you a few dollars , but i Have to take apart ur dash to get to the cd player, remove the cover and remove the cds. I'm in Orange County. Contact me further if you are interested.

ya i was wondering the exact same thing? i just recently purchased a lexus IS 250 blk/blk and i am first going to tint my windows, but i was wondering if there was a good exhaust system for it because the noise all comes from the engine, none from the exhaust and a new system would help with the horsepower and torque as well??? or a performance chip?

There are a few exhausts systems out there...try greddy, tanabe, HKS, Megan Racing, etc... Add an intake, megan racing headers and you have done about all that is available for reasonable cost. LMS has a supercharger for the IS250 but its not on their website, don't remember the cost but it was expensive, maybe $4500.00 plus installation? Someone is going to do a reprograming module for it soon, maybe Jet or superchips may already have done one by now.

BTW, 2006 IS250 6sp MT Red/Blk 19 months ago and still love it. Mods include JIC Magics Coilovers, EBC Rotors and pads, 5Zigen ZR520 Wheels, Ings Body Kit, VIS Carbon Fiber hood and trunk lid, Greddy Exhaust, AEM Intake, Megan Racing Headers, Custom Sound System, HID conversions for the Headlights and fog lights, more mods to come....

You can get all of the information for the mods on this forum..Don't spend our money on the mod info.

I Have one of the kudo mounts in my BMW and like it. It seems to match the interior fairly well for a stamped abs product. Fit was good and tight. Granted this info is about one for a BMW Z3 not a lexus but it should the same.

Do you already have the wheels? If you follow normal convention, yes, you will want to lower the car to achieve the proper look... The tire / Wheel combo will be the same diameter as your current 18" setup. I would suggest using something safe like the Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, they lower the car just enough to look good but not so low that everything rubs.

The Smart Key issue brings out a related Question...Is there an alarm system like the SPAL anti-carjack system that will work with the lexus. Hate to think that someone could jerk you out of the seat and drive off with car and the car would continue to run until they get it to the chop shop. Any thoughts?

If you call them they'll tell you they'll be available for sale in a few weeks. As I understand it that's the same thing they've been telling people for over a year now.

Start with a good set of coilovers...Maybe JIC or Tein and swaybars, then add the suspension peices from Tom's (Front Brace, Rear Brace, etc..) go to Carson l-Tuned Website for info.

Actually since the tint is on the inside of the window, there should not be problem, it would act as a reflector, but what do I know i'm just an electrical engineer and ham radio operator. Anyway, here are pictures of our IS250 with Red Metallic Tint and we have never had any radio reception issues since installing the tint 1-1/2 years ago.

Haven't had any problems with the metallic tint except the cops...

The IS 250/350 Platform is perfect for 20's. These are custom made 20x9 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear - no rubbing at all... Fit is the key here, if you are looking for a one peice wheel designed to fit many different cars then watch out for the Backspacing, Caliper clearence, and general alignment with the fenders. Custom two and three peice wheels (more expensive) will fit perfect our your car.

"Clutch by Wire" definitely takes a little getting used to...

for those of you looking for extra power do a search on the forum for traction control disable ,

I swear I have more power while driving after I do the "Nintendo Fix" espicially since the traction control will let me drift the car just like a 350z...

up, down, up, down, left, right, A, B, B, A, Start.....

Actually it is Start with Parking brake on, Parking Brake off, on, off, foot brake on, off, on, off, Hand brake off, on, off,

by now you have confussed the computer so badly that it thinks something is wrong and shuts down and lights up the traction control light on the dash and your own your on now...

:( Sorry dude, the TPMS is part of the Valve Stem which means that you would have to unmount and remount the tires each season... I believe if you can buy the rims with factory TPMS sensors off of E-bay or where-ever that you can take the car into lexus and have them reset the TPMS System each time you swap the wheels. Hope this helps...
