Hello all, wondering if this amp can be replaced with another brand in case I am not able to find a nakamichi..also, where is it located. Someone said the passengerside rear quarter panel, but there is nothing there, wonder if it is behind the seat? Also, what should i be prepared to pay for this?

OK man, thanks, when I got your email that it was sold, I guess I should have replied, but have been out of town alot too...anyway, dont think I need the whole thing, just the amp..I guess thats whats wrong with mine, only half the speakers are working...let me know and sorry and thanks again LOL

finally after my wait its done, great custom install by earmark car audio in plano tx. i love it. the head unit is Alpine CDA 9815, the cd compartment thingy is a c-box mainly used in porsches.

this is what it looks like with the cd out, i can move cd's in and out of all the holders and the head unit with the car's shifter in park. i was mainly worried about that, i think it looks 10 times better in person than these pics, and also i hafta change the amber colors of my ac unit to blue now since it looks odd at night.

Does anyone have any problems with their nakamichi? Mine, a '95 sc400, the right rear speakers and left front speakers are not working at all. I have checked the fuses, and there seems to be no disconnected wires or anything. I am wondering if the sound system has gone bad. I have found a unit on ebay which has a cassette player (the one in my car does not have cassette) and would like to know , since the unit for sale is a system from a "97, will it work in my "95?? Anyone know??:chairshot:

It sounds like your amp not the headunit.

it comes with the Nakamichi Amp, 10" sub in the center deck in the back, the 2 rear deck speakers, the 2 front speakers, the original head unit/console, and the original 12 disc cd danger.

I don't know if there are different grades of sound systems that were sold for the SC 400 during 1996

but its a Nakamichi, i know that much since it says it on the Head Unit and i can research more if you want, i'm okay with working out a deal or sending first or something since i just started here, We can do the deal through this site or ebay or whatever else you can come up with im willing to do.

I can get pics if you are interested, i'm selling this system because i put in a whole new aftermarket one, and if you change one piece of the stock system it wont work together and it all has to go.

So nothing is wrong with the system, it all works perfectly fine, please let me know if you are interested either by posting here, or contacting me by email

Hi Guys, do you all know if there is a known problem with the power mirrors in the SC series. I have a 93. Both of my side view mirrors stopped working. I don’t even know when. I can’t seem to locate the correct fuse for the mirrors.

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Factory manual for a '00 SC says check RADIO No.2 Fuse on Junction Block No.1 and DOME Fuse on Relay Block No.2

Hi Mate, same thing here, no bad fuses or anything, checked all that. I bought a replacement for that switch which includes also the window controls and everything else on that pad...it hasnt arrived yet, but will let you know if it fixed the problem when it finally gets here and I install it...now its my radio messing up..

Hi again everyone, ok here goes, anyone have this strange vibrating at speeds over 70mph? it is discrete, but definite, seems to disappear when travelling under 70...wonder if is cv joints, motor mount, ???
