I have been told by one mechanic that I have worn lower control arm bushings (both left and right) and I must replace the whole assembly. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace just the bushing if that is all that is worn? Another mechanic said replacing the bushing alone is not reliable since the replacement bushing are not made by Lexus. Would appreciate any insight.
Thanks.

This may be a duplicate of an earlier message. I am not sure it was actually posted.
I am in Dallas and need to decide if I need to replace the entire lower control arm assemblies or just the bushings. I understand from one mechanic that it is not a good idea just to replace the bushings. Apparently they never really work right when you do that.
Does anyone have any ideas.
