  1. welp, i assumed this would work. it plugs in and everything but you HAVE to have the external cd changer to make it work. i dont have the cd changer. i have the indash cd changer. so i just wasted 100 on this friggin thing. looks like the only way to hard wire this is to get the LEXXM from soundgate. anyone else have the amswer for me?

  2. i have a clunk that happens in my 2002 es300. it happens when i start it and reverse or drive . i can time it its so frequent. wonder if it applies here?

That clunk is most likely a U-joint or a transmission problem. Is there a delay from the time you put the trans in gear and the time it engages? If there is a delay, it's a trans problem, if there is no delay and a clunk, it's most likely U-joints.

yeah theres a normal deley of like 1/2 a sec b 4 the gear will engage which i see as normal cause its like that on all cars. shifts ok also

  3. i have an audiovox express which has a built in fm transmitter but it sucks. simple as that! i want to get a converter that will work with the xm radio and is built to just plug right into the cd changer port on the factory deck (NO NAVI DECK BTW) ive seen a couple but nothing thats under like 350! is there anything out there anyone can recommend? thanks!

  4. my car does this wierd clunk! everytime i put it in any gear after a start up. it clunks when i drive off... in reverse and in forward gears. someone suggested the dog bone is bad. sound like thats my prob also? sorry if i high jacked for a second man.

may not be your mount, it may be the way you park. do you apply the e-brake before you put it in park? if not try this. When you come to a stop, apply the e-brake, THEN put the car in park. When you go to leave, step on the brake, put the car in drive and THEN release the e-brake and see if the clunk goes away.

    steviej

already been there and done that. i have done that with every car ive ever owned since i was 16.... im 26 now! haha! its the wierdest thing. to be more prec. to what it sounds like its this.

i start the car. put it in reverse. back out of drive way. put it in d4. speed to about 5-10 mph.... and you hear a "CLUNK" that sounds like a scraping almost. lots of bass to it. it will do it in reverse if you go fast enough also. wierest thing is it wont do it again till you park, shut the car off for at least 10-20 minutes, start.... and it does it again! makes no sense. i think it might have something to do with the front brakes because if you brake at the same time as the "clunk", it feels like the scrapy pedal feel, kinda like the traction kicks in a little. am i nuts or what!!?!?! im so lost for this!

  5. hi! ima noob to the owners club and i have a 2002 lexus es300. im looking to add an amp and some subs to my car but i cant get the deck out to run the remote and rca's! HELP!!! thanks ppl!

  6. omfg! my car (02 es300) only came with 1 master key. i bought one off ebay and it came with intructions on how to program it. went to the lock guy in providence and he vut the key, went out to the parking lot, and had it starting and unlocking the car remotely within 15 minutes. total cost was 70 for the key and 10 for the cut..... WOOT!!! (you do need the other master to program it btw. if anyone wants a scan of the programing paper, just let me know!
