Just purchased a 2001 GS300 with 50K and have a few questions.

There is a smudge on the back side of the speedometer lens that I just can't ignore.  Does anyone know how to snap the front bezel out to access the lens?? It's pretty thin, I'd sure hate to break it. 

I was reading the manual and the maintenance schedule doesn't mention anything about replacing the timing belt, yet there is some discussion here about replacing timing belt.   Do I replace it at 60K or when?  If and when, I will be doing myself so if anyone can give me any "gotcha's"  to watch out for, that would be great.  I could use "gotcha's" for replacing spark plugs too.

The manual also mentions something about a flat key which I didn't get.  How important is this?

Can you make any sence of this. I know it is explained, but first with pics explaining clear as can by which lights are the parking.brake/daytime lights, just to make sence of this. It is talking about converting the 5 lights standard to 7 which would be all of them for the sake of safety.

Hey i dunno if ull read this but, since you want the stock or other. I think you should go with stock unless, as someone pointed out, which i didnt think of . is performance. If ull really see a diff. then i suppose, but i think you wont. DO other things like spend money on all engine parts, etc. Thats a way to impress. Aftermarket rims are usually flashy no matter what, so they draw attention away from the car, and that;s a bad think !!! (unless their black, hehehe. I startin to like them ecspecially in my colour: black.
