Check to see if the 90,000 or 120,000 mile service as been done. That one can be expensive. I bought my 91 with 124,000 miles on it over 2 years ago, and it's run great. They only thing I've had to do is brakes and tires. Mine didn't have air shocks. Enjoy.

I've got an 91 LS400 with 167,000 miles on it. I asked the Lexus dealer a few months ago about synthetic oil and he said I should not switch because it is thinner than the normal oil I put in. Everything seems to be running well, I'd hate to change things and mess things up. Is the service guy at the dealer wrong?

Thanks, tha was my thought as well. I don't believe the old screw will come loose, but I'll check when I rotate my tires.

I just changed my front brake pads and rotors, in the process I broke the two screws that hold the right rotor on, (not the lugs for the tire). I didn't replace them because they're now stuck along with the bit I used to drill it out and broke that off to. Everything seems normal when I drive it. Does anyone think I'll have a problem down the line? If so, what?

My 91 LS has done this now and again, seems to happen mostly when it's damp out and I'm sitting at a stop light. I think there's two O2 sensors, I was going to replace mine ($150.00 for both at the auto store), but the problem seems to go away when I run good gas and it's not damp out. It doesn't seem to hard to do it yourself, as anyone done this repair?
